The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj Opening in WoW Classic

I sure hope not, or if so. It would be probably the biggest fail in Classic’s lifecycle up untill that point.

Reading the US post makes me uncertain as it’s the same phrase we have here with the date of 28th. So it might be a timezone thing, probably. As their reset is 15 hours before our own.

Well both the top Horde and the top Alliance guild on our server have said that they are planning on getting the gates opened in the “1st” reset using this method. So you might think it’s unlikely it’s going to be done but I’m 99% certain it’s going to happen on many servers especially the really big ones. I think it’s kind of unlikely they will delay the NPC spawns unless they do it on US servers as well as that would essentially prevent EU guilds from going for world 1st.

Im not refusing any guides, you need 2 bwl clears to do it. And you failed to answer my question

Can we get an update on what you are planning to do with servers who still have layers during this event?

Except Alliance is showing to be more popular than Horde these days. Of course, this can’t differentiate between what’s an alt and what isn’t, and doesn’t have access to server statistics, but it’s the best available.

https://ironforge.pro/servers/
Even this is showing Alliance as still being a popular choice for raiders.

(To clarify, ironforge.pro goes off of warcraftlogs, while wowclassicpopulation is based off of an addon which only counts lvl 40+ characters on the faction the users checks on the realms, and that relies on having users providing that data and having at least 2 people per realm who checks their own separate faction to provide data from both factions for each realm. So ironforge.pro can only show raiders that has someone in the raids upload logs to WCL, while wowclassicpopulation is a 3rd party census project relying on people with its addon.)

Linking wowclassicpopulation is a great way to show that you have no idea what you’re talking about. That site uses data collected from an addon that was baned 7 or 8 months ago. If you go to overview and select data from the last 30 days you will find out that APES are on break as Gehennas is apparently 100% Horde, Mograine (one of the biggest EU servers) is apparently so dead it isn’t even worth noting it’s existance, and other such odities. It shouldn’t be used for anything.

@Altermaniel: A small correction is needed here. Both CensusPlus and CencusPlusClassic (by a different person) are still allowed. Blizzard just altered certain API related things on the /who command, which effectively for a while rendered both addons inoperable. However, both were fixed and function in a way, but because “in a way” means a MASSIVE amount of clicking on large factions, most people do not use them. Both WCR and WCP still receive some data from the very limited few that still operate those addons and upload data to their respective websites.

If the user numbers were higher and uploads more frequent, both sites would have much more data available. As a side note, I successfully uploaded some retail side data earlier today, so while very limited, WCR works for sure. As for WCP, it has been a while since my last upload, but if there is any data available for the past two weeks on any server, I would say the site end functions as intended, just with not enough data…

Oh I didn’t realise you could still get at least semi accurate data. I just assumed that the data that is there from the last 30 days was spoofed in some way but now it makes much more sense why some of the numbers are actually close to what other methods show. In any case the data is clearly too sparse to consider it of much use right now considering the data on entire factions on even very large servers hasn’t been uploaded in the past month.

@Altermaniel: Despite the clunkiness of use, both addons can function accurately on small factions, but as faction size increases, accuracy drops as the addons operate too slowly for more snapshot like view of things.

If CPC had about 86 active users (or more) spread evenly over available factions, Classic EU realms would already be extremely well covered.

Retail side would require somewhat more people. Even when I submitted 100+ files a month to WCR, there were often holes in the EU coverage. Now, as the total number of CP users who make uploads may be as low as somewhat over TEN and with me submitting a file every now and then, the retail coverage has more holes than a swiss cheese… :frowning:

Ofc. whining mage who (and only mage) can do group work alone in dungeons, when you are taken to more fair grounds you are not so pleased? Legitimate players are not abusing pathing to kill what is not killable for everyone else.

That’s pretty funny when it’s posted by a hunter, even if it’s a retail hunter.

Don’t even compare what Mage can do to what Hunter can do in classic.

No, you dont need nor deserve it.
Go duel and fish

stop it idiot, you make a fool of yourself, 1 week can contain 2 lockouts.

of course you can do the quest line in 1 week, even in 3 days in theory, but not in 1 lockout.

this coming from a scarab lord

hey dude, i know this might be the answer you’re looking for, but there is a work-around for servers like yours, but its not exactly ideal.

basically it involves using the neutral AH and get someone with more than 1 account to make a character on the opposite faction and send him the stuff needed for their side of the war effort via this auction house.

yeah sure its very inconvenient and troublesome, but it is a solution to a problem that likely can’t be dealt with otherwise.

Yeah i know this.
But as you said, it is inconvenient and troublesome.

How can a low-quality post like this get 21 likes?
That should not be possible.

Why is there so much hate against the Lucifron Horde?
