So … if Druids and palas are the best and the only viable option for m+ , and also the best healers in raids and pvp also …

The priest with 2 healing specs feels like a DOUBLE fail … and yeah they are kinda ok for some raiding . and some disc pvp maybe… but this is ridiculous

It’s been like this since the day of dawn.
There are some niche reasons to pick the other healers but overall you’re right.
The classes just need faster balancing in response to other healers excelling imo.

Druids are kind of weak in raid meta. Palas are often more single target and you need something more wide as well. Mythic comps take disc priest since year 1321 while others pick also every other healer. Like MW as an essence font bot is really strong for your average raid run.

??? I play resto shammy, got 10/12 Mythic, 2,650 rio score and 1850 2v2 rating (yeah, actually it’s hard here) - I don’t complain. I have more fun than I had as hpally previous season.

no mythic comps dont take disc priests… they hate them… there is only 1 disc priest in the rankings …in the world and thats a 1 to a million exeption…because his group allow him to be there and they play acording to that…

What rankings? HPalading and Disc priest are the epitome of Mythic world first race healing for many tiers. Some speculated about taking a battle shaman in Nyalotha but overall Disc priest + Hpala was the go-to healing for that level of content.
While it may be different to guilds progressing mythic later on. And for M+ you usually don’t see priests and shamans very often. MW is sometimes at the top rankings, although very good overall, RDruid with the OP Azerite was really strong, while HPala was strong in M+ for quite some time - also got some love with azerite traits.

Aim for rankings in YOUR class/spec, it’s much healthier. I never understood those “hmm I play bottom tier class, ok, I swap to top tier class, because I want to be the best so no one will ever pick on me!!”.

You don’t, unless your raid specifically does log raids. My HPS on my paladin can be as low as 30k when we have too many healers to being closer to 100k when we don’t have too many healers, in nyalotha. It just annoys me when I was still trying to do it, together with a friend who plays resto druid and they just ended up getting more and more healers instead of getting more dps to kill faster. We could have 2-man healed it but instead we’re to run 4 healers. Then the leader complains about the hps of some of the healers. What are they supposed to do? You brought too many healers, dude.

Hm, so why most of MDI comps had monk healer, and very few had pala? No other healers were found
What exactly are you trying to heal? I mean, most classes are capable of healing to 21/22, maybe more with the current crazy corruption builds.

That’s just wrong. I’d argue every spec can get to +20 atleast. And I’d also aruge that anyone that can get to that point is skilled enough to just adapt to another class, if he really wants to push even further.
Different people just like playing different healers. That’s the point of having others. If you have fun on a priest or shaman keep playing that.

MDI is MDI. It has no relevance on the actual game.
I play shaman cause its the class i like the most. I’ll never be top in the world anyways, so why not play the class i enjoy instead of whats best? I probably wouldnt get any further even if i changed to another healer

Idk, as long as healer can complete +15 key, they have done their job. Because any key after that, is no longer viable.
yeah but everyone prefers druid and pala… and im not getting invites… because of this design…
