Why is everyone so mad at streamers and youtubers?
I’ve seen many times stuff like :“sTrEaMeRs dEstRoY gAmEs1!1” , really?
How are people like Savix and Preach destroying a game? How are they making your gaming experience worse? How are their videos affecting your gameplay?
Instead of moaning and whining 24/7 about “streamers” and “youtubers” think about how trash did wow become, and this is not “streamers fault” is your fault because you are keep giving blizzard money no matter what they do.
Every time someone tries to move a critique against the game with the hope that some developer will read it you come here, with your fanboy 755 ilvl sword to defend your “favorite” game.
You clearly deserve Korthia, domination sockets and azerite armor.
PS: Your jealousy will not make you more money irl and it will not make them lose money.
Content streamers are good for a community because they allow for a platform for people to congregate so they can hate the game together.
So instead of people unsubscribing, they just keep playing the game and then go on Twitch stream and type trash about the game with their favorite streamer.
Wrong, I might watch a video a week. I don’t need someone else opinion to state how bad the game is right now and facts are facts.
Do a couple of research on google so you can see how many players we lost since BFA, BFA dude.
PS I unsubbed 2 week ago and didn’t login since then, the game is just unplayable right now.
What I don’t understand is why people who don’t enjoy something don’t simply ignore it.
I have no interest in football, so I don’t go around harrassing football fans or join in their conversations about football just to tell them it sucks. I just don’t join in those conversations.
But when it comes to streamers/content creators, there are a number of posters who seem compelled to go into any and every thread and talk about how awful they are, how they ruin everything and are the source of all evil… Seems weird to me.
I will give you the right answer, they have a job and all they got is 1k euro monthly or they don’t have a job at all.
They are envious of streamers and youtubers income, that’s it.
Don’t think either of those do too much harm. Funny how you leave out the biggest WoW name Asmon out of it, which does harm the game. :3 Which, quite a few streamers are like that… Taliesin for example as well. A lot of PvP streamers that advertise RMT sites too. But nice ad hom in your OP.
Ah! Another thing is they get treated by the companies differently than regular players do, and regular players also treat them differently. All of which I see as bad.
Because the game was good once and now is just so bad, and is bad after blizzard developing decisions and since we gave them the money to develop their game I have all the rights to come here and say that the current state of the game is absolutely trash.
If we limit our focus to wow, most content creators are pretty much doing the only sensible thing they can do right now - slowly diversity by covering less wow and moving onto other games. This is especially evident with some of the more prominent names that have had their share of criticism towards the direction of the game in the past but now simply gave up on doing the same in SL (which some wow devs might read as silent agreement). If wow or players think of blaming them for somehow ruining the game by merely focusing on other games too, then we simply deserve to be where we are.
Because they don’t play the game as X person which for person X is a cime against humanity.
And in WoW “player bashing” isn’t a bannable offense so negativity rises indefinitelly. Plus the game design is single-focused into that endless power progression / fear of missing out so you are supposed to be subbed indefinitelly to constantly fill a boring bar.
The only critique I have towards the majority of content creators and ESPECIALLY on twitch is that, once they realize they can make a real decent living begging and double dipping for views, donations, bits, subs and patreon at the same time, the quality of whatever they are making suddenly plummets.
People are correct. Streamers are nothing but leeches spreading their toxicity and making wow much worse. Once upon a time in wolk cata content creators were making fun podcasts and YouTube video’s. Now they care only about spreading toxic drama to mąkę money . Blizzard should have banned preach Years ago for spreading hate against wow . sL is what IT is because of influencers
Here’s a prime example of what OP is talking about, the game has been going downhill for years and now people are fed up but yeah, let’s blame content creators for the state of the game, they’re clearly the ones making the decisions for the direction of WoW (I’m being sarcastic sorry).
I honestly don’t even get how you can call these guys content creators. They are just sitting in front of a camera and playing and tossing around opinions and… nothing else. I can’t begin to understand how that is considered content when you have people actually working hard to create actual things like complicated animations, good songs, even fiction being put in the same pot as people who just talk about playing a game.
