We are not Void Elfs anymore, right now we are High Elfs.
For the Alliance.
We are not Void Elfs anymore, right now we are High Elfs.
For the Alliance.
Nope, still Void Elves
Both High elves and Void elves are cool, and in my eyes Void elves are both.
I just want to note that other than new, unique hairstyles, if Blizzard deems it absolutely necessary to re-use old hairstyles then let that be the KulâTiran hairstyles. Weâve already received the same skin, hair and eye colors as Blood elves. Let us not take their hairstyles as well.
We want to see new stuff too. We deserve it just as much as any other race.
Yes, pleaseee!
This set is amazing!
I would like new hairstyles and colours like light pink, or combos with pink and blonde, but i know this will never happen
Also, more pinkish eye colors, or nzoth types.
That would be so amazing! I honestly really canât wait for more hairstyles. We only have 10 while Blood elves got like 22 or something? Even if it means getting some hairstyles from Kulâtirans. We really need some hairdos with the hair tied up. And Iâd love the voidy hair effects shown by Rama.
The colors you mentioned as well would be beautiful too. And I hope they fix the hairstyles that didnât have tentacles to replace them with hair when the tendies are toggled off.
Next on the list would be tattoos, scars and Nâzoth style eyes such as those by Silverleaf. Would be great to get some further Entropic embrace effects too.
Iâm really hoping there will be lots more customization for 9.2.5 for several races. I hope they wonât omit that as itâs unfair towards the races that didnât get anything or got little.
And since no classes and no races where introduced in SL, what else is there to do in terms of cosmetics other than mounts and transmogs? Thatâd be character customization. And maybe some more Race/Class combos. Like Void elf and NB DH, Void elf Paladin (with void-themed skin) and Nightborne Druid. And Iâd love to see Gnome and Mechagnome druids too, as well as maybe Undead Paladins?
Looks like the same Armor set you can get from the Nighthold.

Ok, well, similar, and it looks different on my toon because it is Undead, but still.
I hope for more new, interesting customisations, I donât want copy pasta belves, i love them too, but void elves can have soooo many void related options, itâs sad blizzard doesnt utilize them.
Look at the ideas in here
Also, + for tattoos and scars, why not, especially scars, every race has been on the battlefield at least once somewhere, no?
Yeah, the void elves need new unique customizations !
I would like new hairstyles, new beards, new jewelry and tattoosâŠ
I totally think both Void elves and Blood elves should receive tattoos and scars. But Void elves also need a lot more hairstyles and some customization to enhance their Void theme. The starcursed / void hair made by Rama are absolutely gorgeous and Iâm really looking forward to those being added in game!
Totally Brady!
I think we should also get a class unlocked for us that has a healing spec. What do you think? We only have 2 healing classes atm, Priests and Monks. Most other races have at least 3 healing classes. It can be Paladin or Shaman or Druid I donât care which one exactly but one of these 3 as we donât have a special class like one of these at all. While Blood elves are allowed to be both Paladins and DHsâŠ
You are aware that Night Elves and Blood Elves serve as the core races, therefore have more lore going for them.
Blood Elves can be Paladins and Demon Hunters
Night Elves can be Druids and Demon Hunters.
Itâs actually completely equal.
Void Elves and Nightborne are a token branch to their respective core race societies. If Void Elves get an additional class, then so do the Shalâdorei.
I totally agree. Void elves and Nightborne should both be able to be DHs just like their core races. And naturally Void elves should be able to be Paladins and Nightborne Druids. But obviously thereâs the whole void vs light debacle so if Paladins are not possible maybe other classes can be explored who may fit the narrative better. Iâd dig void-infused Paladins though.
With the state of the lore, Void Elf Paladins would meet the meme of being the dogma that was also âShadowlands.â
I mean, the only additional elf class that has any forms of lore warranty would be Night Elf Paladins. (Maybe Nightborne Druids, but they arenât touched upon.) It feels a bit off that a group of void addicts gets the Paladin class from out of nowhere, whilst Night Elves still donât have the Paladin class despite them being a thing.
If Danuser wants to save face, then he needs to not do things that are abstract.
EDIT: At this stage, the best thing for him to do is to add nothing. Keep things as they are. With him, for this hogwash of a story, less is more. Nobody will be satisfied with his lore reasons behind any new race/class combo. Donât add any now - as I say, less is more.
Few things I disagree with here.
Iâd support that. Then they could also get a ââMoon Knightââ skin for it as well. It would look sick. It would resemble a ââservant of Eluneââ type of Paladin.
Tbh I can see the connection between Void elves and Palas. Void elves are Silvermoon exiles. Blood elves adore the Sunwell, and thereâre plenty Paladins among them. Now, Danuser has said that Void elves are open to others showing interest in joining their ranks. What if some Blood elf Paladins where to join them too? Either because they want to be with Void elf relatives or because they want to face the Void as a challenge to strengthen their own faith to the Light through endurance.
But the same argument can be used for the Forsaken Paladins as well. (And weâve seen them through risen Scarlet Paladins.) Forsaken were once Humans and many of which, former Human Paladins.
Void Elves and Forsaken are hurt by the Light, itâs why their Priests are Shadow Priests, by lore.
If itâs a class like Warrior or Hunter, then yes - anyone can pick up a bow or axe and start going mad, but with the Paladin - we do have established lore reasons why neither Void Elves nor Forsaken can be Paladins, despite possibly being Paladins, âin another life.â
Yeah but the problem with that is that if they donât want to restrict classes to only specific races, then they never shouldâve given us Void-themed elves in the first place due to how niche the thematic is. Because itâs very easy to just come in here and tell us what we cannot be, but then it quickly becomes apparent that we cannot be anything else because Void.
As Iâve said countless times before itâs a developing game. The storyâs not fixed. If they were to just draw a line on the ground and say, ââeveryone gets more class/race combos, but void elves donât get any because the Void doesnât allow thatââ. What do you think would happen then? Well weâd just be back here arguing about why this race should get more race/class combos.
But their is many reasons why certain race/class combos arenât a thing. It isnât just a void elf thing.
Night Elf Warlocks, Draenei Warlocks, Void Elf Paladins, Blood Elf Shamans, Tauren Mages, Forsaken Druids - we have well established reasons why they arenât playable.
With this comment of âeveryone else gets stuffâ you seem to be under âIâm a victim for playing a void elf.â Please donât do that with me.
I havenât indicated that everyone else gets stuff. Indeed, Iâve given reasons why one void elf/class combo doesnât work, plus others such as Forsaken Paladins and those listed above.
EDIT: If you want to be a Paladin Elf, you play a Blood Elf. If you want to be a Druid Elf, you play a Night Elf. If you want to be a Shaman, you canât be an Elf.
Many Elf fans have to start doing better with that whole âElf Shamanâ stuff. We as a fanbase must learn our place. We are not victims, we are not sufferingâŠwe are one of the largest groups that make up the WoW franchise. We are also one of the most well tendered fanbases within the community and we should show more appreciation for what we get.
So you are just saying we shouldnât try to ask for another class. The forums are here for requests, so weâll do that regardless of your reasoning.
I think Void elves do not have enough healing classes given their popularity so I think they should get another one. That doesnât make me a bad person, Iâm just passionate about the race I love and think its unfair that Allied Races are treated like secondary class citizens. Like hell no we are not and you know that Leia. We all deserve to enjoy our races just as much as people enjoy their core races and that includes asking for stuff for the races we love.
I get it that not all race/class combos make sense. But when it comes to the most popular races, it becomes a problem when restricting them too much. Even if I agreed with Paladin being too far fetched and suggested something else youâd come up with a reason why we cannot be that. And thatâs not playing victim itâs the blatant truth.
Look, if thereâre no classes that can heal and would fit Void elves currently in game, then it would be great if we could get a Void elf and Nightborne exclusive class to make up for the imbalance in classes. It would only be fair seeing how Blood elves and Night elves are the only ones who can be Demon Hunters.
I am grateful for what we got. But I do not forget. Initially in 9.1.5 Blizz only planned to give us ear sizes. I will never forget reading that blue post. Thankfully with enough noise we managed to get the hair colours, but the initial blue post was ear size ONLY. While the rest of the ARs were getting lots of new stuff. Like, actually new stuff and no copy pasting.
Not at this time with the current writing team.
The story will be below standard. Itâs better to preserve what weâve got, than those idiots making more and failing at the same time.
The same goes for Nightborne, Forsaken, Lightforged Draenei (which is even more bizarre) and Orcs. Plus Void Elves, these only have 2 healing classes.
In the grand scheme, itâs not that important to give them new classes, but to expect new classes, plus an intricate story to back them upâŠit wonât happen to the standard we expect and additions will just be memes.
The only one which wonât be a meme would be Night Elf Paladin (but thatâs depending on them being Elune based or Holy Light based, because I dread the thought of them being the latter.)
Yes, I would because none of the other classes make sense.
Iâve never heard of a void based, not corrupted, Druid and no Elf Shamans exist anyway. The whole âDark Shamanismâ is something that Blizzard gave to the Dark Iron Dwarves, which Iâm fine with because they need some character / class development.
But the issue here (and what will be screamed from the hilltops) is why canât Night Elves and Blood Elves have access to said class.
You canât make the class too Arcane based because then the Blood Elf fanbase will kick off and you canât make the class too Nature based because then the Night Elf fanbase will kick off. So, for example: Chronomancer class (addition to the Arcane vibe and is exclusive to Nightborne and Void Elves) - first question, why canât Blood Elves have access to this class?
You and I play races that are just smaller snippets from their core rave counterpart. I agree that adding Demon Hunter to Nightborne and Void Elf will be something Iâd like, but I donât see a need to add a healing class.
And class skins can work. A Void Knight, from what Iâve seen, is a Void Elf Warrior but given void based weapon strikes.
If I trusted the story team, Iâd push for this.
Well there is no way for paladin to work for a void elf. The void does not interact well with the light. Youâd probably just explode.
I dont see the elements getting on very well with void elves but in theory it could work.
Druid would be my class for choice out of the 3 suggested as void themed forms could be totally awesome. And as kul tirans and zandalri have shown, anything is possible with class.
So for me its a hard no on paladins, a maybe but probably not for shamans, and while I donât see blizzard putting in the effort for druid they get an awesome out of 10
