The Most Disgusting Class in The Game

Mages suck wieners.

Male undead rogue.

The most disgusting combo and everyone hates it since 1st day.

Roll a Ret Paladin and laugh at them when they try to nova you with BoF and Cleanse and laugh harder when they try to poly as you put sacrifice on someone. HoJ > Blink > Repent > Ice block rinse repeat good night mic drop

@Pali counter for Paladins are Priests (dispel/mana burn), Shamans (purge/earth shock) and locks (dot/fear) and Hunters if they can kite properly.

So while I agree for some classes mages are pure evil its hard to read your arguements on them knowing full well this is exactly what we all asked to go back to and by that I mean the massive class differences with bigger counters from one another and racials that are actually important such as dwarf fear wards and Orc’s bloodlust.

If you dont like it then learn to play around because its not going to change anytime soon.

me male orc me just want smash me no think how win me just smash

Mages are broken in overall. They make free foods and portals. They just need to cast polymorph to escape any gank attempt. They can aoe farm and etc.

Around the time BRD starts, everyone is searching for 3 Mages to aoe mobs down.

Rogues for example - it is a charity issue taking them to dungeons. A mage is always better than a rogue in a dungeon. Same with non-tank warrior, which is the most useless class you can take in a dungeon. It literally has one utility spell - fear, which might wipe the team.

You take a rogue and warrior to a dungeon because first 2 raids (not counting Ony) are pure melee raids. If you check out compositions of fastest MC and BWL clears, it s mostly warriors and rogues (mainly cause you cant easily gear 20 warriors). So yea, doing 5 man with 3.mages is a lot easier… but if we re talking about pre raid BiS dungeons it s not really smart (atleast in guild enviroment).

Try free action pots or go to retail

Zarkom - you can get sheeped while under the effect of that spell right?

Zhubull - I was talking about dungeons not raids.

And 3 mage runs are for experience. 100k experience per hour is insane.

Its always been like what you describe, rogs/mages are blizzards favorite classes. You should know that by now mate xD

Without trying to be that guy, the game isn’t balanced around 1v1 pvp. The imbalances and wonky scaling are what make classic fun and liberating from today’s versions, where all attacks are normalised and each class has a counter to something.

Also, if you are only using your class abilities in pvp then you are playing classic wrong. Classic is much more orientated around consumables and trinkets.

Melee had the short end of the stick Vs ranged classes overall in 1v1 for years and years, I think that only changed with the release of DKs to an extent. Still I recall mage being op in pretty much every expansion and after ever class design major hauling.

As an orc warrior at least, you should be able to beat rogues. That stun resist racial is infuriating to rogues (and I don’t believe for a moment it’s only 25%)
Actually even as a warrior in general, the odds are in your favor against rogues. They might be able to get away from you, but killing you is very hard if you know what you’re doing

In a guild run, sure.
But in a pug run - You’d prefer having mages as it’d be a lot faster.

Well guys,

When you’re a warrior there is no feeling more satisfying than encounter a cocky ice mage. When the fellow mage is approaching you can literaly see the player drooling out of his mouth behind the screen, being sure of his easy kill. This is the time when you pop your free action potion and charge him. The confused mage will blink in fear. Now you intercept. We are now at the point where the mage is almost at the point of a nervous breakdown, not understanding how it is possible that his frost nova didn’t work and he’s suffering a heavy sweat outbreak. If you’re lucky his hands are now so sweaty that he slips over the key for ice block. If you’re properly geared he sure as hell is dead now. However there is a chance he accidentally hits the key for ice block. In that case just patiently wait for CD and throw a thorium grenade at him when he’s out. Easy kill, works like charm - every single time

you’re welcome

Not if he’s competent and has cold snap. So I’m guessing you don’t face pvp focused mages that are prepared for the situation you described very often, not saying there are many but I have encountered a few.

Holy priest here, I usually destroy mages xD.
Provided I bait their counterspell

Preparation/Cold Blood Rogues, can easily destroy a Warrior. Especially when both are undergeared.

This sentence makes me regret I didn’t roll a male orc on this Warrior.

The one major mistake with mage design in vanilla imo was giving them a shield, they have enough CC, versatility and mobility that when they get caught they deserve to be hit hard, giving them an absorb was just overkill.

But like people say, we knew this and it ain’t gonna change.
