I just listed a +15 necrotic wake key with some friends with the intent on timing the key for our friend who was new to mythic plus.
We had a 2k warlock a 2.2k priest and myself a resto druid as well as our friend, the dps warrior.
As such, I was looking for a player that had already timed the key, to ensure a smooth run. We ignored tanks until we found one that met this fairly generous criteria and then started the key.
We pulled the first pack and he writes
“Soo my bear with 239 was too low for your crappy 15 key” and then leaves the dungeon.
Keep in mind that this player hadn’t set up his alt on raider io to show the mains score, was not rejected by our group, simply not chosen and he just chose to circumvent this by applying on his main, purely with the aim of breaking our key out of spite.
I am, and forever will be, against punishing people for leaving keys, but just how low as a human being can you be? Seriously.
What the tank did was bad but iam suprised you turned down a 239 druid tank in NW the easiest dungeon this week and with a god mode tank when people are screaming out for tanks .
What absolute nonsense, I have timed every key on 15, most 17 or 18+, I didn’t need any tanks to carry anything, I was looking for a tank SIMILAR to the level of our group, ergo who had timed a 15 in necrotic wake, think before you type, if you can manage that.
I personally don’t care what ilevel a player has, it is next to meaningless, I run a mythic raiding guild, we have some great players over 240 that have never set foot in a +15 key, I wouldn’t expect any pugs to take them if they hadn’t timed the key.
To be crystal clear, to anybody that isn’t quite getting it, this wasn’t set up as an alt on raiderio, this player appeared as a tank with no experience in M+, we didn’t reject him, we simply ignored his application.
He took it upon himself to use his main to sign up to the key, start the key and then leave purely to screw over 4 people who had not said or done anything to him.
and now you learned that you should not ignore people
next time you can whisper him and ask him if he is on alt because you can’t see his RIO
it’s pretty simple
now i would say no need to whisper healers or DPS cause there are many of those
but tanks these days are hard to FIND in pug and i don’t believe that many sign for keys
because as you said he joined your key with his main so it took a time to find a right tank
you know you can ask him to show you his main RIO ?? like posting a LINK?
