There’s more than one way of checking whether the characters are on the same battle.net account. If someone falls for a fake ‘main’ link, that’s on them.

No excuse, this guy was a complete retard.
The amount of players that think they’re entitled to get invited is insane. Why would someone get into a key just to ruin it because they didn’t get invited on alt? I’ll never know, report him for trolling.

If you don’t have main score how someone is supposed to know that you’re capable of timing a NW 15? I have seen dire things and I have had people 248 8/10M or whatever not doing what their gear shows they’re capable of doing.
Gear doesn’t matter in M+ to an extent; just look at this alt (although I agree that monks are completely broken).

I understand OP wanting to invite people with experience for his key, with how pugs are at the moment I’d go with safe picking myself.

rofl 239 bear declined XD

was that doing too when i got annoyed by all those groups, but i left before starting the key, just made them wait a bit longer while i was looking up their r-io VERY carefully and logs g

and you could clearly see they were waiting for an overgeared one ;D

Keys are a dumb system anyway. There should just be a system where you can join a mythic+ dungeon, use the console thingy, and choose the level you want to do. Like it should be; everyone starts at level 1. You then work your way up to unlocking following levels. Only 1 players needs to have unlocked a certain level. E.g. if you queue with a team where the leader has +15 unlocked and you only have up to +12. If you complete the +15 you unlock up to +15. These levels would be dungeon wide, so completing a +15 unlocks +15 for all other dungeons too. Then if someone leaves, nothing happens in terms of losing/downgrading your key.

Also, Mythic 0 should just be added to group finder. Normal dungeons should just be for leveling and Heroic dungeon should be the level 60 versions of dungeon.

How dull is this answer?

You know that m+ is nothing about ilvl? The guy could have been 239 but never came in m+ at all. Would you have taken him? No. Then?

A tank is at 75% the reason you will or not time the key. He is the one telling you where to go, which pack to pick etc.

Yes 239 ilvl is enough for a +15 but if he has no idea about the route, no idea about any mechanics, why would any one pick him?

Score is more important than ilvl anyway. If he’s 240 ilvl but only 1.2k score that is pretty bad lol. I was over 1k on my bear with around 218 ilvl already. It’s a really op tank.

Sigma male grindset

To all the people complaining that OP didn’t invite a 239 druid because “that’s more than enough for a 15”… I’ve started tanking 15s in season 1 at 188 item level without issues. Does that mean everyone should invite people in WQ gear because it’s enough? No. Because mythic+ is not about item level. OP specifically said that the druid didn’t have their main linked so it likely had little to no score.

Next time think, or at the very least read the post before you start crying that someone doesn’t invite the first possible applicant with a somewhat acceptable item level.

Just because the tank was an idiot doesn’t mean you weren’t too OP.

Last expac I had a 3.2k monk I healed on. Couldn’t get invited to a key. Logged my druid that I’d never healed on and got an instant invite to the same grp. Wonder if it was your group or if there’s lots of like minded thickos about…

Anyway, I can see where you’re coming from and you have no sympathy from me.

and i ++ it with 2 rogues my DH on 12 so with mega unoptimal comp

anecdotal evidence is anecdotal .

but yes if people dont know what they are doing and reach dungeon above their skills they will wipe even with super optimal comps.

in this case 239 bear tank was way more then was needed for 15 there.

If you don’t give chances to less experienced other tanks and only take 3k rio ones - well there is always this risk

I am tanking 15s on my 228ilvl bear and I have no issues at all, can even pull tripple-quadripple packs with incar. Even tanked one mists+17 and we only failed it because we were to relaxed mid way and failed on normal mechanic couple times on 2nd boss.

Today 16SD is in pipeline

it si though . 240 itlv group cuts through +15 like knife through butter. and i say it from perspective of someone who was progressing +15 this season at like 226 gear.

clealry he did since he logged his main and was invited in a flash :0

what is most likely (and what i experience a lot on my DH now ) OP was lazy … and diditn bother to check io properly to see his score on main - he just seen score on his alt and insta declined

its partialy falt of blizz for not showing mains score in the window right next to alts score.

And I’ve seen 245 ilvl players who couldn’t handle one pack. It’s completely irrelevant. Experience is infinitely more valuable than gear. I’ll invite a 220 2.5k score alt over a 245 with 1500 score. Item level is not what I look at when I make groups as long as it’s reasonably high.

I am 1200 rio 228 and I easily tank 15s. Yesterday I took a complete pug group through NW14 and we blasted it with +2 on the timer (the fact that I know where can I pull 4 packs, and where I have to keep low to 2 mobs really helps a lot).
Rio nor ilvl have nothing to do with how good or bad a player is. With the amount of boosting going on, everyone now can have ilvl/score.

At least during s1, my main criteria of inviting someone was how many timed keys person had (like I prefer one with 40+ timed ones over 15ilvl higher with 5 timed keys)

Sure but that’s like saying a high school diploma has nothing to do with how smart a person is, and I doubt you’ll disagree that a person who graduated high school is more than likely smarter than a high school drop out, and that doesn’t mean there aren’t smart and successful high school dropouts. It’s just about the likelihood.

not in world where score comes also from non-timed dungeons.

because of this so many people with like 2k score play like complete trash - why ? because they got most of their scores from untimed runs.

also - 15s are extremly easy this tier - so it tells nothing about how people play .

it is the problem of many groups indeed - people who got carried to 2-2,1k score this tier and are delusional about their skills - when in relaity likely rest of group carried them .

Chances are definitely higher someone with a score is a better/more experienced M+ player than someone without a score.
