I don’t do pet battles, but i like to collect cute pets, particularly whelps or sprite darters. Many people like to do pet battles, as far as i can tell.
I’m honestly am shocked that someone who dislikes the game managed to become an MVP.
But ah well.

I don’t mind pet battles, but I think pet battle week should be combined with PvP week.
Since you are explicitly fighting/competing with another player.
Those of us who just meander round the trainers and collect many pets don’t necessarily have any interest in PvP pet battles.
On the contrary, I think the pet week quest should be changed to a non-PvP version, like do X trainers and Y dungeons/scenarios.

In my opinion Mythic week is more stupid.
So yes, this point is subjective.
However; I WOULD like to see a change with the weeklies. Namely:
I would like to see 1 weekly for every activity in the game every week.
Limit the weeklies someone can complete to 1 or maybe 2 to make sure this feature isn’t abused, but let people choose a weekly for the activity THEY enjoy.
So each of these activities should get their own set of 4-5 different weekly versions that rotate around:
Mythic Dungeons.
Timewalking.
Raids.
PvP.
World content.
Pet Battles.
So there’d be 6 weeklies every week, but you’d only be able to complete 1 or maybe 2 of them.

They added pets battles to tap into the kiddie/anime market, right alongside Kung-Fu Panda expac - again bridge the kiddie/Asian market.
People still like it, you might not but they do.
Personally, I think it’s rubbish and has no place in this game but this isn’t my game and Blizz want more money, sooooooooooooo…
Besides, it’s win win for Blizz, it keeps the kiddies and flower pickers happy i.e. the minority, while acting as a passive time gate for the majority.
Now, who’s turn is it to throw flowers at me?

I dont get why they dont add NEW REWARDS instead of that crap reward lvl 25? Thats why I dont do that quest due to useless reward. Dont waste time! Wake up, the dev?
God no, that would be awful for me. Because of my OCD I would have to do the 20 world quests weekly on my six 60’s every week ;s
During Legion I did around 500 world quests during world quest week, because I had too many high level chars ;p
As for the topic, if you don’t like the weekly quest then don’t do it. Moaning about it, @OP, doesn’t do anyone any good. And yes, I do like pet battles.

I don’t understand why so many people always make derogatory comments about pet battles. It doesn’t have anything to do with pokemon nor with “kiddie” stuff.
If I were to be so inclined I could say that raiders are all teenagers horny for virtual achievements to increase their epeen. But that wouldn’t make it true, would it? Also, it would serve no purpose to insult people for their preferences. Live and let live I’d say.

Maybe we should all get to say this about aspects of the game we find dull and boring.
I’m sure if they did away with PvP side game stuff, the forums would be a lot healthier without their screeching “Nerf X!” “Now Nerf Y!” “U Game is broke because I don’t have an I Win Button Blizz, Fix it Nao!”
Frankly I don’t want Dev’s to waste their time on PvP which is a ridiculous kiddie game full of whining children who don’t realise that they are playing an aspect of the game tailored to them alone and is not actually skill based, just pressing buttons, is not an E-Sport, and looks completely farcical.

Not into pet battles myself and like Athenash I view it as a “chore free week” since there’s no extra weekly to complete. I like the Blizzard offers different content for different types of players, regardless of whether I personally enjoy that content.
I did a bunch of pet battling to get the falcosaur mounts in Legion… Never again! I grew up playing Pokémon and I completely love it, but pet battles are not Pokémon at all. Much less fun, and there’s no Flareon so what’s the point?
