Should the new server fade out, and people stop playing on it, are we able to move the character back to an ERA server? That we don’t lose the time and effort invested in it?
Would REALLY appreciate an answer on this, before investing in this. Also, perm tbc maybe after classic could be an option.
considering the fact that they already allowed this on zandalar tribe with paid transfers – yes. just be prepared to get your wallet out.

No, pretty sure you won’t have the option to transfer to ERA 2019. These new servers are headed to TBC and they will allow changes on the fresh ones that they did not implement on the current ERA servers (dual spec, etc.).
It’s certainly possible to make such an option but there is no reason for them to even think about it right now. The server hasn’t even been launched and you’re already thinking about what’s gonna happen if it dies out. Don’t worry, it won’t. Too many people happy to play TBC after era.

Many asked, but they only listen to Dual spec, insta-mail, … all the raiders and speedos get their way, the casuals and HC players can drop dead for all Blizz cares about them.
GIVE TBC HC servers. Give Era TBC, and RP servers!
