It’s gigantic, ugly and messy, and I’ll probably end up using yet another addon to replace it and/or turn it smaller. I don’t believe that anyone asked for this change?
I think it’s much worse than before. Probably get used to it if I absolutely have to.
Really? I find it a straight upgrade.
Mainly the search field is a life saver. I might have like 30 abilities in a page, but in just 2 secs I put in the first letters of the ability I want and I got it, instead of searching in 4 different pages.
I don’t like that it’s right in the middle of the screen and that it covers your character.
The old one was to the side so you could still see your character and do things whilst it was open.
Now when I open the new spell book I basically have to suspend my gameplay until I close it again.
Even the compact version of the spell book is placed right in the middle. Why? I have a huge widescreen monitor for a reason!
Werent there some rumors being thrown around that WoW could be playable on tablets soon?
I think a lot of the UI changes could be made for the game to be tablet-ready. Desktops can modify it all with addons anyway.
“Don’t you guys have tablets?”
That’s not an excuse by the way. They could very easily have made that stuff optional with a setting.
Or made the new version scalable so everyone can just make it as large or small as they want.
Same for the atrocious login screen.
Not a fan, not being able to see what could go on around me if I needed to pull it up is a sure fire way to make yourself an open target no idea why they could not have just scaled it down to the same size as the original, which is bizarre.
I also love the bigger size. I dont have to go through tabs and can see it all in one go.
It does let you halve it but im guessing that is still too big?
It is way too big! Make it smaller, please!
In my opinion this new spellbook is just too big. I could open the previous spellbook and still see my character and what is happening on the screen, now I can’t… I hope some addon will be created to restore the old look.
they tried to make it simpler but made it worse. i don’t need to see the spells of specs that i don’t play…
Tell me when you find one this one gives me motion sickness
That’s highly unlikely.
Considering how “good” WoW runs on the Steam Deck, I doubt it’ll be playable on Tablet, considering alone the sheer amount of single core calculations resulting in pretty hot tablets which wears down the APUs and batteries very fast due to these temps, not to forget it throttling the APU and killing your FPS even more.
Its a truth word spoken this patch was something to look forward to but many disappointments.
No combine normal flying with dragonflying.
big spellbook and big stuff that you get motion sickness from just looking at.
They need to go back to the roots add in scaling for spell book and add in so you can go back to classic spell book or choose what spell book you want. Instead of having this big toilet paper all over the screen.
Rather let us have the power to make things small or big our self’s and remove talking head frames and loot frames and pop ups, We are not playing tetris.
Disappointed, in the ui department.
It blocks half of my action bars. I had to move the spells to the wrong action bar then close the spellbook in order to move the spells to my desired bar. All that extra work made me tired and thirsty.
Jokes aside, i think it’s an improvement. But it does block some of my bars and makes the management more difficult.
You can make it smaller without an addon. I removed the two pages
I think there is too much wasted blank space between each spell. It could be condensed a bit to make everything less bulky.
Also, being able to move it around would be nice. It’s a bit annoying being in the center of the screen.
IDK why they are trying to change the UI.
It was always ok.
1.They should focus on important problems to fix like how there are too many flashy abilities and as a melee I can see anything in any encounters where there are more than 3 players.
2. Combat for melee sucks now. Since they changed warrior animations for attacks it doesn’t feel as visceral, it feels just like any other korean mmo.
I think the UI changes is to accommodate a new player base. It started with DF and they are now focusing more and more on growing a new audience.
That is all fine I think. Inevitable I would say, and perhaps even needed. But an option (in the game) to go back to the previous iteration would be great I think.
That’s what she said.
