After the Mortal Strike stacking changes, Rogue, Lock and SP really take a downward turn in power and Elemental Shaman gain a considerable buff to survival as this was the only weakness they had.
Lava Burst need a flat 20% reduction in damage and Overload need a 20% reduction in PVP

ele was already more broken than arms before the nerfs…

ele is not op, its here classes with bugger busrt, bigger dmg outup, with better self heal, and with defs
If you meet ele just kill him, he cant survive

We gotta be real here, ele shaman is pretty much the only dps I play, rest are healers but it is in fact OP without a doubt.
Sure its defenses are bad but it needs to cast more, its only casts are stormkeeper and hex.
It might need to get a bit of the SP treatment and have its procs reduced because there is only 1 playstyle and it’s to spam lava bursts, never even tried the lightning route because it feels so clunky and slow and this has to change.

The crazy amount of burst damage Ele randomly pulls out of nowhere with/without CD’s because of proccs make it super unpredictable to play against. No other spec does that. You can die at any time vs an ele if he gets a bit lucky which isn’t that fun for everyone else. The spec itself is super fun im sure. It looks fun, maximum pump spec

I find it funny how they react super fast to nerf some B tier specs (WW monks got hit by nerfs every week for like 4 weeks in a row , enh shaman insta nerfed first week in the pre patch, still complete trash since, ret instantly dumpstered after 1 week
) but for some others they literally do not apply any kind of tuning whatsoever.
DH had been BEYOND broken without getting a SINGLE nerf from pre patch up to like 2-3 weeks ago.
Assa has been broken since the launch and yet untouched.
Same goes for Ele , broken af , can casually throw unpredictable random one shots in 1.3sec out of nowhere and yet still untouched 2 months and a half into the expension.
But hey, let’s remove Double Tap from the game first, we’ll see about these abominations later.

Hilarious mental gymnastics. In order for the the class to be balanced you have to focus it and if you don’t its fine for it to annihilate you in 3 sec. Somehow casters in general think its should be a norm to melt opponents as punishment for when they are not the main target. If you are consistant with your logic - you probably wouldn’t mind ret palas to have their burst back, because if you focus them - they die and if you don’t its your fault.
shaman here to defend the brokeness of ele being able to effectively 1 bang someone at any point in a match if you get procs is not fun and is broken as hell
True, you can see a pattern over long period of time: rmp must always be broken, casters always struggle for 1 season and then dominate until x-pac ends (usual suspects here locks, ele and mages). But god forbid you from some other class ever dare to glimpse a fraction of rogue/mage power until they won the lottery for current season to be OP.
Yup right on. Ele is too strong and the damage needs to be tuned, the only reason its not super dominant yet is because ele struggles into assa (like all of us). They don’t even cast anything and still double everyone’s damage

I agree, time to nerf this ranged dh of a spec. Your proposed changes sound more than reasonable. Ele makes the game absolutely miserable to play, as they can just pve and randomly global you out of nowhere, while having too much disruption for every setup. And as usual the fotm factory makes sure no game goes without one.
They are not even casters, topping the meters every game by waddling around while getting focused, it’s absurd. Time to make them hardcast more. If this change was warranted for sp’s, certainly ele are in even more dire need of that treatment.
And on a side note, an additional slice of personal hell is the fact that a hunter can’t even play improved pet heal (and if you don’t they just global your pet whenever) because then you die to the dispel protection piss.

Yes ele dmg is broken but ele is dummy 99% of solo shuffle, survival it’s still most pathetic that any class has. Self healing is literally 0 and has no cc at all especially when being trained by zug zug every game and hoping for procs. Nerf dmg increase defensives and self healing.

The issue is it is. Overpowered.
No it doesnt have good sustain, but its damage is too OTT.
Sadly this is down to a design fault, and rhe reason u defend it is because once ele loses its damage, it will drop to Garbage tier, and shaman as a whole will just be bad in pvp from then onwards.
But low sustain does balance out 1 shotting. It was OP when paladin had it, even as a melee, let alone as a 40 yard caster.

Lol, Ele is completely broken. S tier class which has somehow evaded nerfs despite being S tier since the start of the expac.
It’s only weakness is to a class which is even more broken.
Also Ele absolutely dunks on melee. No cc??. lolwut?, Lightning lasoo, earthbind totem, static field, knockback.
Best bit is, whilst it’s doing all these it’s pumping out non stop damage and ends up with most damage majority of the time.
Be ready to be reamed if you face Ele shaman + any other ranged as a melee.

Lightning lasso LOL, amount of gap closers melee has makes all these knocks and roots useless

Unleash shield was nerfed heavily and lost nearly all of its defensive values. Self heal is still basically non existent and hard casted. Astral shift is still worse than other defensives and often forced to be used in the opener. Ele does too much random spice dmg that is the spec’s problem and should be rescaled into more consistent dmg.

This just tells me you don’t play elemental.
Elemental does good damage but if you don’t have good team mates, you’re dead. It’s great at higher rating, at low rating especially solo shuffle you’re asking your team to help peel, which they don’t.
Elemental after using their wall are sitting ducks without aid, melee have too many ways to close the gaps now even if you drop every totem, snare.
If shamans can get a full lasso off then it’s definitely a skill issue.
Really you’re talking about arms warrior. Let’s be real here. A class which is also now in the S tier bracket.
Think of it like this, If you have a healer + 2 arms warrior, and a healer + 2 eles, who would win this match up?
I don’t get how Shaman players can be so biased, so obvious that ele is much too strong. Do you guys really think everything is fine with your class rn?
