I wouldn’t concider TBC old content since I didn’t play it originally. Classic I would, since I have been playing it for 1+ years.
Irrespective of whether or not you played it, it is still old content. It may be new to you, but it was still released in 2007.
It may be old but it definitely is not irrelevant.
I think you are smart enough to understand what people refer to here? They are talking about “old content” as in the content we have been playing during classic. And refer to TBC as “new content” since it’s not been available for 14 years.
Never assume.
No, I’m suggesting that those of us who never bought it should have to pay for it this time.
That being said, I recently bought the re-released C&C games, a very slight remaster and a version playable on todays machines for a reasonable price.
I bought remakes of old Zelda games, many have repurchased new versions of old Blizzard titles, this isn’t a just a re-release, it has tweaks and changes, as such I wouldn’t 't mind a small charge to play the game.
alright that seems more reasonable then. thanks for clearing that up.
Boosts are surely must die. Its not a little problem - its totally unacceptable. All our small community will not be in TBC if there will be level boost
Level boosting makes sense for players who dont want to play the game (levelling). Why we listening to those who dont want to play this game?
I don’t see how it effects anyone that does not want to use it
Please go read half the posts above yours.
Pay 2 advance quicker over someone else who doesn’t pay. Think about it dude. It’s pay2win. It’s not rocket science.
I disagree entirely, however it’s irrelevant. It’s in, many of us want it, even many of us who say we don’t want it still say we will use it! Most who don’t want it won’t cancel their subs.
Take the L bro, fight for something you might win.
boost 58 vs being able to be 60 already and stacked on gold/maxed out proffesions…yeah dude.that boost is such a p2w…
then you are only extraordinarily uninformed.
or you are ignoring the arguments and facts being presented.
have a nice day.
-
it doesn’t matter if you disagree. you need to present convincing evidence as to why we (the anti-boosters) are wrong, fail to do that and it doesn’t really matter what you say.
-
if you want convenience in the form of pay2win then go to retail and stop trying to ruin classic.
-
it would be dumb to not take advantage of a boost if its implemented despite how much you dislike it. people aren’t going to handicap themselves based on principles, or maybe they will. it depends on the person, really.
the fact people are going to use it because its available has no correlation whatsoever with the fact they don’t want it in the game at all
so far the pro-boosters only argument can be summed with “don’t like it? don’t use it!”
which is like putting two people in a desert, wait for them to start thirsting, and then give each of them a bottle of water at a steep price, and then tell the guy who didn’t want to be in the desert in the first place that “nobody is forcing him to buy and drink the water” knowing fully well that the alternative is death.
Ofc its not, because rocket science works.
“Pay to Win” refers to an advantage by buying something that otherwise cannot be obtained by ingame means. Everyone can level to 58. Therefore, it’s not pay to win.
No he doesn’t, because hes not the one who needs to convince the other side.
The Boost is in. It’s done.
He doesn’t have to make a case for it being in the game. The Anti-Boosters want to make a case for it to NOT be in the game. They are the ones who need to do the convincing, ever since the “no one wants it!!” - outrage didn’t work (because, as it turned out, the opposite of “no one” in this case, was a very small number of people).
We aren’t ruining classic.
We didn’t ask for the boost.
And most of us don’t care whether its in or not.
It doesn’t impact our enjoyment of the game, so how is it “ruining” anything?
I guess I am dumb then, because I don’t take advantage of it.
I have a capped, almost full BiS, main character.
I will have a capped Shaman Raidalt by the time TBC starts
I have several capped alts with capped professions as my personal crafting army.
So, tell me, other than getting to try something out just for fun which I otherwise wouldn’t have the time to play to cap, what advantage would a boost confer to me?
Do I need to explain how ridiculous it is trying to compare a company selling in-game services to someone extorting another for water in a desert? the alternative to not buying this boost is not death.
Pretty bold of you to tell me what games I should be playing. I enjoy WoW Classic, Boosts don’t ruin Classic and you’ve yet to prove to me that they do.
I Loved TBC, I have friends that despise classic and haven’t played, who last time round bought level-capped players from MMO toon auction sites that wouldn’t play TBC or WoTLK this time if they were not able to skip what they see as terrible world quest design and snail paced levelling, they wouldn’t play, and now they get to experience it, enjoy it again and partake in this community.
Or do you selfishly think they should be forced to do something they hate, just to make you happy?
It indeed does not matter that we agree or disagree with you, the boost is getting implemented, you either accept this or quit (whining or playing, take your pick). The ‘pro-boosters’ as you might call em are just people, like Sorzza said that either are using it for their x’th alt, new players that wouldn’t touch TBC otherwise or people that just don’t care.
Besides the fact that it’s actually you that needs to present evidence that the boost will ruin the game. All I see is the same ‘slippery slope’ argument, and that TBC will look 100% different in 6 months because of the boost. I’m just not buying it.
All you guys can say is the same old ‘you’re blind if you don’t see that this ‘insert doom-scenario’ will happen 1000%%!!.’ or ‘you just wait and see!!’. Yawn.
And I agree with p2w = high end gear, gold and stuff that you cannot achieve while playing the game normally. So nope, the boost is not pay to win. It’s pay to skip, but in regards of the end-game in TBC you get squat.
you guys just want watch tbc retail with all shiny stupid instant things. You dont want play it, you just want watch your character is leveling, taking gear, etc.
I think there is no place for gamers in TBCC.
