The proposed change to forbid hc gear to be upgraded to mythic mog is really lame

God forbid blizzard just lets people have their fun. Having the best looking gear accessible in terms of transmog is what largely makes playing alts fun and the whole, ‘I have to do mythic raiding to get the best looking gear’ was part of the reason I quit the didn’t play the game in the past years.

It’s fun to have many alts, get hc gear upgrade it to the nice mogs, maybe even m+ and get lucky with some great vaults. Now it’s basically, dedicate all your time to one character, mythic raid, enjoy the game less, but hey I will have one cool set of gear. Please dony give me the, just wait 2 years line because it’s besides the point. Why make the game worse? The system right now works really nicely and makes the game more accessible and fun.

Got my red boots with gold trims with the upgrade system. Honestly this is just another one step ahead followed by three steps backward by Blizz.

This will not improve Mythic participation, at best you’ll get extra people paying for boosts AND a lot of angry players. Nice job.

It is a bit amazing how Blizzard gives me a system in TWW that I adore which has made me sub since launch of TWW, which I don’t think has happened since WotLK. And then just take that away with Midnight.

Now I am guessing I will go back to just playing at launch for a couple of months and return once a couple of patches comes out. Being able to attain mythic gear via Delves is what is keeping me playing, without it I will not play as much, it is that simple.

I’m getting really tired of this back and forth pulling of the casual base of world of Warcraft, which is the majority of player base. We as delve runners don’t have access to mythic gear, it stops at 6/6 or 8/8 during boost season but that already puts a power limit to casual gamers compared to the more hardcore base. Also that our crest farming is much slower. And I’m fine with that. It takes more effort to be a high key M+ runner or Mythic Raider. Therefore, having more powerful gear is valid.

But now to have a mythic tier visual, that has nothing to do with the gear power, to now be locked away from casuals and transmog collectors is yet another stab. This is yet another thing in a string of taking things away from the casual base that was normally accessible to them.

To get mythic tier transmog still takes time, effort and a lot of patience since crest farming is slow so I don’t know why Blizzard is now also locking away just something that is visual and nothing more!

And yes I know in the expansion after the last titan we can start collecting Mythic transmog from legacy Midnight raids. But that’s still 3-4 years of waiting. This feels like another senseless way of taking away something the casual base with time and effort normally had access to.
