The red flags

is anyone else concerned about the game now the beta is about to end?

because the red flags are flying pretty high they claimed they added hundreds of new quests… where? ive played the beta extensively and the only new quests i have found are the few for undead paladins and the handful revolving around bandarian keep

all other quests are either leftovers from season of discovery (not new) or over 22 years old

they put 2 new zones into the game riverglades and hyjal but capped up to level 30 so we are not able to reach high enough level to test those zones?

they then nerf dungeons to the ground to give players no option other than to do these ancient quests? the truth is the “dungeon meta” didnt happen by accident and it wasnt just because it was the way to rush to max level it happened because the quests are as old as god’s dog theyve been played to death even dungeons got boring but that was only because levelling was a REQUIREMENT and could be done with your brain turned off after the amount of practice players have had over the years

the skyborne story ending the way it does totally out of tune with the “classic philosophy” they claim they want to keep to? how do the other zones end? teldrassil youve killed a spider, dun morogh killed a yeti, durotar youve made some glue, tirisfall killed a scarlet crusader

i REALLY want this game to do well i WANT it to be fun and recapture the classic philosophy but so far the red flags are waving hard so please blizz even if you have to delay the launch please take the time to make something that lives up to the vision!

Haven’t played the beta, but a quick google search put new quests at around 200 for the beta. There’s a 1000 for the full game. I’m guessing SoD quests count as new, as they are new to Classic WoW, but not sure.

As for vision, they want players out in the world. They did say the intention is not for dungeons to be one-and-done, which is good enough for me for now.

I don’t see any of these as red flags. Sorry.

It’s way more, alone in Dun Morogh & Tirisfal Glades, there’s 43 new quests and 35 for the remaining 4 and a 136 in Zephras. That alone is 362.
The remaining zones we have access to seems to have 13-17 new quests, so that’s about 977 and then there’s all the dungeon quests on top and that’s a conservative number that assume most zones don’t have the upper end of quests.

Yes, the game is chuck full of red flags, the most important one being that they rushed the release date and killed TBC but Forever seems like in an alpha state. They are scrambling to finish/balance class and race designs with not real end in sight (its a mess on almost every class discord). I would point out that this is exactly what happened in SoD with the small difference that at least there they phased out leveling so they had more time to address and change things.

well as i said i would be FINE with them delaying the launch if it means we get a more filled out game
