So rather than try and actually fix the issue caused by the failed release of BGs on the anniversary realms, the solution is to just render the items generated by players useless and allow many players to walk away with the gold generated from selling these items on the AH to other players.

No to mention the progress some will make using those boons (cause now they do work and therefore will work for the next 24 hours)

Nothing! Boons will be in morning disabled and even if they had tonight in raid it does not matter since u can still die in raid and loose all wb. People r just over dramatic.
You dont get progress using boons lol. They still exist in era just a bit more expensive
It could be that so many ppl used it tracking them all is impossible.

Yh, again it could be sheer numbers and essentially could cause issues with ppl quitting the game, blizz is a buisness remember not just a game maker.
Obv its an in game bug and so some of those ppl trading will do so on purpose others however wont know its not allowed.

Im not on the side of ppl who purposely did this i think that gold should be removed from them and returned to the rightful owners.
Again though bc the servers arnt linked will it cause issues honestly idk but the issue is on blizz here.
Having said that ppl who lost their hard earned gold should absolutly get it back.
Just remember im on the side of the game being 100% legit ok i think gold should be returned to ppl who essentially got scammed by bad actor gold farmers.
Goldsellers will use any method they can to get gold including things like this.
Not all of perpetrators are sellers some are ppl like you and me that got caught up in a hike for fast gold.
The big issue is that is against the tos ?? If its not they cannot ban ppl for using a bug they overlooked.
Im 100000% in favour of those who spend their gold getting it back and it being removed from the ppl who scammed them even if its gone off the acc blizz can trace where it ended up and remove it.
If its possible to identify known gold seller accounts in the mess the bug created then yes ban them permanently and get rid of them from the servers.
It’s a game, sure it might suck that some people qfused something but what would advantage did they get? Are they winning the game? Are they making millions of monies irl?
You do you ate play the game and enjoy it, if you don’t vecause of this or something else you can stop.
