"The Rotation Assistant Beats 75% of WoW Players."

Oh my god… there you go. Thank you that you keep talking. You are the best example in what direction WoW is heading. Bad player being pro OBR with literally zero common sense and/or logic.

That’s some top-notch comedy :joy:
“You are a cheater because you use ingame information”…
Yes people, you heard it right there! How dare you using the information that’s provided by the game?! Turn off your screen, you filthy cheaters!

Truly can’t make this up…

There is a point.
If you don’t talk about it the devs get the idea what they did was the right move and everything is fine.
If you do talk about it, the devs can figure out flaws and make changes.

The thing is that it will affect the majority of the playerbase. Basically almost everyone who does group content and not play with a pre-made.
Remember the scripts/bots? It was mainly talked about in PvP but in PvE it was a thing too. Why is it against the rules? Why is that cheating? Shouldn’t people be happy instead, in PvE at least? Like you get top tier performance from a player in your group, it’s great, right? But people got banned for this.
Everything automated is not allowed. It was common sense and everyone agree’d on this. Nobody tried to defend it. Until now. Now it’s somehow ok and god forbid we make those players visible to others.

The key issue here is that the debate has shifted from evaluating the function itself to accepting it purely based on who provides it. When players create automated tools, it’s condemned as cheating. But when the same kind of automation is introduced by Blizzard, it’s suddenly acceptable…not because the principle has changed, but because people defer to authority without questioning it.
Cheating is no longer the problem, only the source. Or do you think we can now make own better versions of OBR as long as we apply a 25% GCD penalty to it?

So it’s just Blizzard double standards, which i don’t accept. Same as the ridiculous far left cliff the story has swerved off.

Blizzard can say whatever they like and i still won’t care. I hold them to the same standards they themselves created. It’s hilarious they remove things like @target macros/want to lessen weakauras power in raid as they hate automation then do this, i hate hypocrites so much. If they want to diminish the experience for money (this game is coming to console for sure) i will do anything i can to stand against it.

If blacklisting OBR abusers/getting them kicked so i don’t have to play with them is the only thing i can do and screech on the forums then so be it. Doing all i can for now.

The second some crafty addon creator manages to detect them the day will be saved. Itr would be the first addon i donate to the creator.

Just remove all class abilities and add a single DPS button that puts out damage. You hit one button to do your axe swing or whatever. And the guy next to you with same gear level does the exact same DPS as you. With one button

There. Now you can balance the classes forever more.

When i suggested a few years ago to give all dps the same dps per ability i was laughed at said that is crazy and boring. Now look at all of behind a one button DPS ability.

Now look at wow. You press a button. A single button for dps output and most are behind this,

All classes have the same DPS out out and use one button. Def buttons stay.

Remember what happened to the /spit emote and why?

Yeah because of a mount from a…bundle? How fragile do you have to be to care that someone /spit on you in game. :man_facepalming:

I’m not sure i would even notice.

I just don’t understand the temperament of these people?

“Daddy Blizzard help! Someone imaginary spat at me so i not imaginary freaked out” :joy:

Kinda the same thing that happened to acknowledging the existence of male and female?

My point was that Blizzard will probably ban a mod that allows discriminating against people using their new features.

PS: I miss the /spit emote. I loved to /spit at some NPCs who annoyed me.
And we lost it because Blizzard did not appreciate people targeting their payers

potentially. But i just blacklist any low dps players now anyway, just incase that is the reason then avoid them. They can also ban that if they like but one way or another they can’t win, they will push tanks and healers in to proper groups.

The pug situation will get more dire, even less tanks and heals. There isn’t a scenario that we will accept these OBR players.

we lost it because of snowflake mentality. Men used to go to war. Now they cry over imaginary spitting. If you asked all those brave young men would they prefer to die or have someone pretend to spit at them i am sure i know which they would choose.

Honestly as a tank/healer flex player OBR kind of removed my will to play endgame, because I feel like the “middleground” of players was already diminished way too much, and now it’s like the game is only for extreme casual and extreme hardcore, nothing in-between is a good experience I think. Most people are in-between, they are not playing at high level. Now if someone who plays 60% perfect, which is not that bad, is worse than someone spamming automatic rotation, it feels so bad.

There is really almost nothing now that holds me unto wow other than doing legacy content of past expansions.

Story bad, gameplay bad, journey doesn’t feel like an epic adventure anymore, etc. Blizzard removed not only all friction from the atmosphere with removing faction conflict, sanitizing everything, etc. they are also now removing all the friction from the gameplay too.

I also tried PTR of 11.2 and only thing I can say is that story is okay in contrast to the rest of the war within, but when I go play real game on xbox like Kingdome come deliverance or Metaphor, the story of the war within feels still like complete trash in comparison. And to stories that wow had until MoP and maybe Legion new content doesn’t even hold a candle.

Almost all new content Blizzard releases for wow feels cringe and annoying. Not sure why they aren’t just licensing the franchise to another studio, which makes real games. Seeing what they’re doing for wow also removes my will to play games like Diablo 4 too.

There are many ways this assistant system can grow in.

Maybe DPS players should get a forced auto-follow on the Tank when they enter a dungeon to prevent ninja pulling and standing in swirlies. After all, it is exclusionary to expect DPS to retain their spacial awarness while pressing WASD and OBR at the same time.

DPS players also have issues with using kicks, especially in low keys which needlessly increases the difficulty. So let’s implement a Kick Bot that will use interrupts for them. There is already an addon which creates a kick queue on your screen, automating it is just one more step in making the game more inclusive and you wouldn’t oppose that, would you?

Maybe the most inclusive game is a game that’s not played at all. Maybe the most inclusive game is a movie.

I am so happy SBA exists, cause now I can truly expect people to be able to press 1 button (SBA) - and possibly CC / Interrupt / Move.
Not a clown fiesta of rotation-knowledge on top of it.

Bad players will always be bad, but it’ll be quite easier to laugh about it when they require so few buttons now to be decent.
I don’t take it as serious then when pugging.
Glad I have friends to play with whenever I want to do anything “serious”. :joy: :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I now know little about the story except khagdar is in a literal irl wheelchair (instead of a cool mech or floating carpet or magic legs or something) due to the devs political beliefs. The same reason theres a screechy one armed harpy clumsily forced in to the story. No doubt as a love interest for anduin for more political reasons.

I just skip all the quest texts and cinematics now. They are so lame

Doesn’t help much if people still don’t do the easiest mechanics on on bosses…

Gally is a prime example.

You can report me how you want but;

  • HC pugs were more competent some xpacs ago on harder bosses (nylotha, argus etc)

  • average HC Pugs seem to get dumber in general

You just got late to the party. Most competent people are not playing until S3.

Nah , also tried to pug it mid season… Most pugs broke already at sprocket :face_exhaling: next breaker was mug zee
