"The Rotation Assistant Beats 75% of WoW Players."

In my experience it only works if you play a healer or tank. I have tried several times when I just want to play DPS and it ends up being that you wait for for a tank or healer to join because they don’t want to invite a pug tank or healer and then the group disbands after waiting too long.

You can’t “overhaul” WoW without starting from scratch. You know how much time that takes for TWENTY YEARS OF CONTENT?

Yeah, not gonna happen.

Not for Midnight perhaps… But the one after it, We are now back at Mists level cap and damage numbers in the millions again, another level cap and ilvl squish is on the way, what better time to launch the game on consoles( which are more powerful than most ppl’s PC’s)

When? IF my friend  It’s been 20 years and nothing.
Do you have any idea how much it would cost and how big of an undertaking it would be to revamp the engine from the ground up?
They would rather build a new engine, but then again it would have to be compatible with the old one… so you see, the chances of this happening are VERY slim.

I think one of the reasons they want to ban most addons in the coming years is to reduce the load on the main thread, which they keep adding stuff to with every expansion.
CPU’s singlethreaded performance just doesn’t increase as much with every generation anymore.
So at some point they will have to either reduce the engine bloat or move to a WoW 2.0 engine.

I use Framegen all the time. If your base FPS is high enough, say at least 60+, FG does not create big artifacts.

What does that even mean?
I’m on a 5800X3D with a 4090 and performance in raids, especially 30man ist just bad, so FG helps.

If you think like this, then you are probably also scared to use something like RTSS overlay
Or just use smooth motion with the latest NV drivers, which won’t be as good as the adaptive mode from LS.

I don’t think so.
Not anytime soon.
We’ve had this discussion for like 10 years or so and nothing has happened yet.
Why? Cause it will run like crap on consoles in hubs, raids, epic bgs etc.
The current gen consoles have roughly the equivalent of a Ryzen 3600, which performs really bad in WoW (i had a 3900X, raided mythic progress for like 3 years with it).

Also, i don’t really think that many console players would be hyped about playing WoW, but i might be wrong.
The real question is, if there will be a console port for WoW in the future, will it be crossplay with PC?
If yes, then this would probably cause so many problems and think about what that would mean for the community…
I don’t think having WoW on console would be good for the game, unless the console port is strictly detached from the PC version.

I’m not too sure about this one  I think they really only want to tackle this over the top combat related stuff to tone down raids/M+ a bit again.

This :dracthyr_nod:
It’s really not possible anymore to increase single core performance with those sheer amount of calculations in modern systems. We hit physical limitations ages ago, hence the change to more and more cores (besides the usual “Look I can have even MORE cores than you” war :dracthyr_crylaugh:)

I wouldn’t say it’s JUST as bad as non X3D CPUs (running 5800X3D myself paired with 6800XT), the X3D does help a bunch, but it’s no wonderdevice, of course xP

Mmhpfff :dracthyr_crylaugh: Yeah, sure…for 1080p yes. But consoles advertise 4K60+FPS, good luck with that :+1:

Yeah but the extra cache helps alot in games like WoW.
But even for general AAA gaming i would never recommend getting a non-X3D Ryzen unless you just can’t afford it.

People saying things like “you don’t need a fast CPU for 4K gaming blah” don’t think about the 1% low FPS.
If frametimes are more stable, you will have a much better time enjoying a game.
Just look at something like the new DOOM games with ID-Tech, that engine may not have the highest end gfx on the market, but it’s stable frametimes is one of a kind even on low end hardware.

Stuttering in games, especially Stutter Engine 5, is the biggest offender in gaming.

MS is now in control… MAU… things go up or well… You seen what happens lol. Consoles have never been this close to PC’s… and powerful ones at that.

Can you name me a native 4k game? Its just a waste lol see PS4 pro vs one X… One X pushed 4k or die… Pro pushed FPS and games looked about the same but ran better on PS4.

Consoles have a RX5700 card inside more or less with no overheads :stuck_out_tongue: Its more than enough for WoW lol… My ally Ex can run WoW.

Yes, I know that, I just mentioned that because you said “it’s just as bad” xD
For big WoW scenarios it’s “no wonderdevice” besides being a bit better than non 3D :yum:

I mean you can only do so much with this engine…
Even a 9800X3D does drop below 60 FPS at times, which is insane.

A X3D versus the same non X3D Ryzen is about 30% difference in WoW.
That is 2 generations of CPUs, one generation is like 15% IPC increase.
So this is almost like black magic when you think about it
