Having dipped my toe back into casual PvP after holding off on buying DF, I find this issue still persists from what made me stop playing back in SL. Back then, randoms getting steamrolled by Russians were the main thing, now it’s still more of the same, just less Russians.
The biggest offenders seem to be consistently players from the Kazzak server, whom I’ve seen greasing up bg’s a lot in the last week. Invariably, they are all - predictably - low ratings players, if rated at all, so can’t cut it in actual rated PvP ✓ , so they instead get their jollies by curbstomping pug groups in quick matches.
I know we live in a time where pandering to minorities is the “thing”, but if players want to team up with their FRIENDS for FUN, with voicechat and other associated crutches, match them with other premades and if they have 30 minute wait queues as a result, well, that’s the price you should pay, for playing with your FRIENDS, for FUN.
The only ones enjoying it are themselves. The other 99% of the playerbase just looking to get their daily done - not so much.
Sorry, can you please go into a little more detail about why people should be punished for playing an MMORPG with friends? Last I checked, that was the entire point of the damn genre.
Why should they be punished instead of say the solo MOBA player? (you, in this regard)
69% of all statistics are pulled out of some idiot’s butt.
I like how you say that people playing with friends are a minority. Not that that is untrue, but surely that is the intended way to play an MMO no?
Also + points for passive aggressive rating bash. Always the best part of premade cry threads, people pretending they want a “fair” BG while using the thread to get their vent/e-revenge on the “premade” that stomped them. Sadly the people who beat you aren’t reading your whine.
110% of the playerbase wish you wouldn’t blame your BG loses on premades and bother Blizzard because you lost your BG. Either try harder to win or, if losing a BG upsets you, do something else like World Quests where everyone is a winner.
What? I play random bgs a lot because I find it to be fun, not for some daily reward.
I find it boring to face people who play premades that are the most meta thing they can play but as long as the game allows for it and if they have fun playing with their friends why would I mind? You win some you lose some.
As a horde I am noticing silvermoon and argent dawn premaders completely ruin low level bgs.
Kind of interesting that healers are allowed to deal so much damage, half their team are healers with instant spells that hits as much ad my chaos bolt due to them using top gear most players dont have hehe.
Grow some balls man. Havent meet a premade since Df launched, even if i did i would just sit afk until the pain is over and requeue.
Writing this post probably took you longer than the match would last kek.
Here’s a thought.
Start your own premade OR…
Instead of complaining on here, keep an eye out for when you are with a premade and follow instructions to the letter.
Enjoy the experience, I have had the pleasure of randomly landing in a couple and it makes a change from the same old headless Alliance gettin stomped by Horde.
Felt good to be fair.
Did you just really tell me to, “grow some balls”? How dare you assume my gender.
Surprised you didn’t just say, “man-up”. I just want a level playing field, but apparently that’s “entitled”. Forming my own premade is not exactly “casual” PvP, nor is playing against one, is it? What is so difficult to understand? #shrug
What exactly is this “top gear most players don’t have”?
Conquest points are capped, and honor gear is the same PVP item level 411 with all upgrade as it is PVP item level 411 with no upgrades at all. The upgrades only affect the PVE item level.
And why do you think it’s possible that properly prepared leaders can lead an epic battleground to a win with a rag-tag band of random puggers, against opponents who outheal and outdamage them?
Imagine, if you can, that I might know a thing or two about epic battlegrounds, simply because I actually put in the effort to learn some details, most other players wouldn’t believe to be significant. That alone turns out to be an advantage over puggers whose only “tactic” is the zug-zug train beeline to the enemy’s boss.
