But the boost made it easier to swap factions, thus exacerbating an existing issue with bad faction balance. Other issues get exacerbated as well, such as class representation as now even more players will go for Warlock/Hunters due to boosting them up (Orcs will be popular), not to mention all the Druid flying farmers that will come.
Yeah, that too.
I am currently waiting at LHC as I write this. I stand next to 8 boosted orc hunters, 2 boosted orc warlocks and 1 boosted orc warrior.
There is 1 boosted alliance druid and 1 boosted alliance warlock on the other hand. So just looking at my screen at this very moment 90%+ of boosties are orcs and almost all of them are hunters and warlocks.
2 out of my many points against the boost is already being confirmed. Others are due after the launch of TBC.
I cant wait to not be able to fund my own epic mount journey because of the million druid bots from china and russia! Oh boy! Thank you Blizzrd!
You must love posting cliche things. I’m sure no one has ever heard that one before…
The OP is just venting frustration at the game though. I think the mount is more concerning to most than the boost. Tbf there are a lot of people who do have their experience ruined by seeing something like bought items in the game. There are a whole host of F2P and paid games I just can’t play anymore, most games with skins that are just things that don’t fit the game (gold, pink armour etc), there are plenty who don’t want to see those things to the point they don’t play.
Do not worry; you can simply buy epic flying and a flying mount off the store at that time
Sorry to break it to you. But the bots arent buying the boost. They are leveling up from 1. Atleast on Shazzrah horde. Ban wave got rid of them and we been bot free now for 3 days at max level.
Of course they get ruined. Everyone experience gets worse except for Blizzard and the boosted andies.
Funny that, cause I’m also on Shazzrah and I’ve seen about 8 or 9 warlock bots on the horde side in EPL while I’m trying to farm some rugged leather.
I mean, in Retail you can actually buy a clown costume off the store. A clown costume? In Warcraft? For the clowns that actually buy that stuff?
Sure you arent confusing those with players? Seems odd to bot a warlock.
Considering the wooden movement, the delay before targeting - the fact that I can tag the mob they are casting on and they will still kill it for me. Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s normal player behaviour - not botting at all.
Look at r/Classicwow at one of the most upvoted post the last 24 hrs, with a screenshot, and you will see this is not the case. ZF is filled with 58 mages.
There was also an update to the game that made the bots not work anymore. Give it a couple of days and it has normalized again. Plus, even if a 58 bot gets banned, he can simply boost up a new one using VPN to Russia for cheap! Oh, he can alternatively level from 1? Well GG, the world is even more empty now, so they don’t get reported.
Pretty strange cause most bot names are usually just slap your hand on the keyboard. 13 warlocks in EPL atm. 5 of them 60. Rest 58-59. They all have pretty normal names. Can’t write their names it goes under naming and shaming rule.
Why wouldn’t their names be normal or conventional?
Guess Shazzrah is a weird server then, even tho it’s one of the biggest. 2 level 58 mages in ZF. 11 level 60 mages. 2 low level ones leveling. All having pretty normal names.
2 rogues in BRD. One 52 and one 60. Seems normal.
Stratholme very hard to know since they run teams in there.
Cause before all the bot names were usually asefasda. This was a very easy sign to know the bots. Unless they all of a sudden learned to come up with names.
I mean, not to call you naive but they were basically untouched for the entirety of classic hense the botting in open and the obviously crap names. But if they are capable of writing a piece of software to play a game for them, run economies ect. I’m pretty sure they are capable for creating a name generator.
I just don’t trust things people say randomly without any kind of proof. I can go there myself and check but in all fairness, not sure I can be bothered to.
You can very well be lying also, it would be naive of me to just trust your word. People lie to fit their agenda.
I don’t have an agenda, I merely know from what I’ve seen and what the majority of us have experienced is that bots were rife, still are rife and probably will continue to blight the playerbase through the entirety of tbc. I also did say ‘not to call you naive’
Oh yeah they will. My whole point was if they will buy the boost or not. Ofc they will be back. With or without the boost.
