I plea for the release of tier 0.5 also known as dungeon set 2. This armor set is a upgraded version of the dungeon set 1 and is obtained after a long and epic quest line. The set was originally made for non-raiders like myself. Currently the armor set is planned for phase 5 but I think this wait is far too long. With the Silithus content now live we should be able to complete the quest line for dungeon set 2. I don’t see any reasons why we should wait till phase 5 for the release of this set since most people wear raid armor which is superior to dungeon set 2. I’ve obtained a few part of this set back in the day and would love to complete the quest line now durning WoW Classic! What are your thoughts?
Hi thanks for replying. Didn’t original content planning got mixed up long ago with DM being released early on? It would make sense to release this tier with the Silithus content update. When you take a look at some of the earliest content release plans you see tier 0.5 came along with the Silithus content update.
I agree back then there was an influx of new players so all content was relevant for a significant part of the player-base. Now most if not all players play from the start better release dungeon set 2 now before it becomes completely obsolete.
Dungeon set 2 was good idea but implemented way too late in Vanilla’s lifespan and was too hard to get considering the rewards. Tier 1 is superior for most non-hybrid classes and far far easier to obtain.
In Classic they should have just been in from the start. We already have late-Vanilla itemization on items, so it wouldn’t have hurt.
By the way, I noticed you have full Dreadmist on a Priest. I hope you’re not expecting to get full Deathmist. Would love that set on a Priest…
There is really no reason to keep this set for the end of Classic’s lifespan. It’s a well welcome goal for people that don’t like raiding like myself. I think just a small percentage of the players will actually follow the quest line because of the cost and time investment.
