The vote kick system needs to be changed or improved as it is being abused excessively! (2)

It’s completely broken now. I just entered the timewalking dungeon(u know stuff in there hits decent) with my alt blood dk for leveling btw and soon a retri who was pulling everything died after a few times and started making fun and flaming the tank and that then others joined in and not because they were right but just to make fun. i only said “if you wanna pull everything go play prot” and guess what, i got vote kick and 30mins penalty. This doesn’t leave any desire to play.
It seems like most systems in the game favor toxic players more and they are everywhere.

Blame idiots who’s lizard brains automatically click on YES on everything, never pausing to read the ‘reason’.

You could have “for the lols” as the reason and it’d pass.

Be great if Blizz cracked down on vote and report abuse, but they don’t care. :person_shrugging:

The mere fact that being vote kicked even induces the penalty is ludicrous. I mean WTF. I didnt chose to leave and on TOP of being kicked out I am also prevented from queuing for 30 mins. GREAT design indeed.

EXACTLY. Suddenly I find myself staring blankly at the screen, it says 30 min penalty there somewhere, I can’t get angry, it’s a strange emptyness and more reason to be alienated from people.

The reason it has a debuff is because tanks/healers would take the party hostage to get ejected without penalty so it was added in. This was the least punishing variant with minor tweaks to present day.

If you guys do have a good idea, you can always suggest a better way through the ingame suggestion box too.

Yeah ok, but what will an innocent person who just wants to play the game and paid money to do it do? Because it happens not once, not twice, but many times literaly for no reason. oh ok, He/she will sit down and think of a solution to this and use the suggestion box.
Thanks for suggestion i guess.

Ive seen tanks do this, even have screen of one go sit behind cart and refusing move forwards. Guy literally went sit behind cart in the dungeon cause he was having an argument with someone from what I gathered reading the chat :joy:

Remember. Blizzard is just a small studio, cut them some slack.

If you’re being kicked often, it means that your gameplay is not aligned with expectations of majority of players and you need to either change your gameplay or avoid PUG content.

Blizzard can’t micromanage all of these social interactions that occur within that game and then review the case like a judge and determine who was at fault.

There’s no justice system, the game ultimately relies on the community for order. It’s caveman politics. It doesn’t mean it’s right, or fair, or the right person gets punished. You’re thrown back into the stone-age and it all comes down to basic survival.

It reminds me of a video of a monkey in the zoo the other day. The monkey was chilling on a platform and someone threw him a head of lettuce. Another monkey got jealous and pushed bro off the ledge, sending him twirling down and that was that. It is what it is.

So, if you see a tank like this try to vote him out, keep quiet or leave the group. In fact, it’s better to play this game like you’re playing with bots and don’t even have chat enabled, especially, if you are someone who knows what they’re doing other clearly do not.

There’s nothing you’re going to be able to say/do to convince them they’re wrong.

Yeah, my default is to decline unless I understand that there is sound reasoning behind the kick vote.

Otherwise we get this

The vote kick should remain but the penalty should be removed.

Which penalty are you talking about?
Deserter? or penalties to those who kick.

Deserter debuff when kicked. That should only be applied if you leave.

I am of the opinion that if 3 or more people vote kicked you out, then regardless of the reason, it is their right to do so. Obviously they don’t want to play with you and that’s fine. That’s their right, but why-oh-why do we get penalized with a dungeon deserter ON TOP of being vote kicked out, I just do not understand.

It’s been explained many times… prior to the debuff’s introduction from being kicked, when it only applied when you left early, people were FREQUENTLY abusing the system where if they entered a dungeon they didn’t like they’d just AFK or troll to force a kick on them.

And God forbid if the followup replacement had the same mentality but you couldn’t kick them due to the “cooldown” to initiate a kick again… which, as mentioned above it being “frequent” it happened often enough…

This was a step in the wrong direction. It did more harm than good. In fact, it actively is in the process of so doing.

Er, no it didn’t… if you were around during those times you wouldn’t be saying that at all

The grievance now pales in comparison to then.
