The war within. Was it good?

My and my friends have been discussing weather we enjoy the expansion or not.

We realised it’s been a strange one and legion remix has highlighted the problem.

We enjoyed the levelling up of questing and even made an earthen but it falls down once the patch content comes along.

11.0.5 was the aniversary content which had no bearing on the expansion.

11.0.7 was siren isle and it was reused bfa content.

11.1.5 was nightfall which was a buggy mess and light on actual content.

11.1.7 legacy of Arathor which was very light on story and content.

11.2 ghosts of kareesh. Alright content and was fun. Didn’t feel like it fit the expansion but I guess the problem was 11.2.5 came out so quick after it

11.2.5 legion remix. Amazing, loved everything about it since legion was my fave expansion but it killed the current expansion I have touched the war writhin since except of hallows eve etc

It’s legion remix that’s highlighted that this expansion has been a mishmash of fomo limited time events with very little content for the main expansion itself. Once you hit surwmar there’s a ton of quests and progression to go thru.

Thinking back to legion there was so much lore, class identity, progression etc that it’s make this expansion look very poor. I hope in the future they do less throw away stuff and more long term expansion progression.

I really enjoyed the main campaign, and for me Sirens Isle and Karesh patches added content I enjoyed. I don’t mind reused content so Horrific Visions being back was fun for a bit and I am looking forward to Brawlers Guild returning.

On the negative side I found the amount of grinding needed for the Undermine reputations to be a bit high in a zone I didn’t like much. That is purely subjective and my opinion of the zone is negatively affected by motion sickness with d.r.i.v.e.

Legion remix hasn’t done TWW any favours. I have only done Headless Horseman for Hallows End since Legion remix launched and I have spent more time playing remix than I have TWW this year. Remix reminded me what I loved about WoW and doing Suramar again was a pleasure.

I started remix just planning to level one toon and do the bare minimum for the Sargeri (sp?) transmogs. I am now considering completing all the achievements for remix and I don’t really want to return to retail!

For me, TWW has been one of the weaker expansions.

For me every expansion has it pros and cons.
Overall I like TWW how it turned to be (my personal take).

I love the additon of delves and hero talents, I like the storyline of all zones, raids/dungeon (expect Undermine) where all fun, I like the events like Nightfall or Horrific Visions, but rn I can’t wait to be back in old Eastern Kingdoms - seeing new Zul’aman, remade Quel’thalas and personally I am excited for new Haranir race.
I know many people also hate Ecological Succession on Ka’resh but for me it was kind of relaxing. On the other hand, I couldn’t stay Undermine so much, I unsubbed for 2 months … and honestly, I don’t regret this.

I played Legion Remix for 2 days, maybe even less - it’s meh for me, but I heard people like it, I just can’t force myself to play it. I don’t even care I won’t have new mogs or mounts or anything from it. I played MoP Remix, but this time, it was a big no from my side.

As said, it’s not best expansion, but also not worst. Personally I enjoyed what I could and now I am looking forward for new expnasion and features.

I would say no, not BfA or SL levels of bad, but still bad.

Pretty much this, for me as well.

I really enjoyed the initial experience, but I already noticed that I didn’t enjoy prolonged exposure to the vast majority of the zones.
And as patches came and new zones were added, I had to confess that I didn’t enjoy a single one of them either.

  • Siren Isle was small and way too packed and just a ‘run to the next rare’ chore.
  • Undermine was ugly as sin and I hated being there; so I wasn’t there for as much as I could get away with.
  • K’aresh is another one of those ‘broken corrupted world’ type zones and I have never enjoyed a single one of those. This was no exception.

The story took a nose dive in Undermine as far as I’m concerned.
It picked up a bit in K’aresh, but me not wanting to be there didn’t do the whole experience of going through the questline any favours.

Legion Remix was a big disappointment for me, honestly.
There was very little I actually wanted and I literally got all of it within a day or 4.
It was a fast, easy way to level a couple of alts, I’ll give it that.

I really hope Midnight will give me the same joy I had when I first did TWW’s leveling up campaign, but then I hope it sticks the landing and keeps me engaged more than TWW ever did.

I had fun in TWW, was it good? For me it was good, the introduction of delves made it fun, finally some love for solo players like myself. Before TWW I pretty much always raided, never really liked it but felt it was the only way to get some decent gear without doing M+, now I don’t have to raid anymore so a big win for me, looking forward to Midnight and see how the delving/solo experiance evolve. :+1:

Nothing can be worse then BFA. However I was fed up questing with alliance heroes all the time while my own leadership was fully ignored.

Worse than shadowlands, better than bfa.
It was the worst m+ expansion and that’s a statement after the sorry excuse of dragonflight m+ (god comp for 3 seasons straight).
Horrible dungeons, LoU is THE most forgettable raid ever (I didn’t even get CE because I quit after mugzee), we had an Aug season after the dragonflight fiasco, next to no dungeon tuning in s3 (priory and fg are overtuned, dawn is still bugged af), turbo boost is the worst that could happen…
I probably missed some things, but I’d rather play shadowlands Classic with pre nerf sanguine depths as the only dungeon than tww.

I really hated dornogal and the earthen, the storyline felt off and I gave up after the few months. Delves became boring. But with the anniversary, timerunning (Pandaria and Lemix) and collectors bounty I had the most fun in the game! I also think they did good at making everything more account wide, I feel like they fixed a lot of old stuff this expansion which is GOOD.

For me this expansion is extremely agressively mid.

It was not terrible, but for sure it was not good.

Expansions feel copy pasted but it dont bother me so much if it was bad , i will have like more focus on classes balance and gameplay cause i find it so weird couple of spec to be op always and others pray for buffs just a bad mentality:sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile:

For me, TWW was shaping up to be improved Dragonflight.

  • Adding Blitz.
  • Turning Precognition into a PvP gem.
  • Darker atmosphere.

However,

  • Legacy of Arathor was extremely cringy.
  • K’aresh seems to be very low budget and in some places even poorly AI generated.

Allowing OBR in rated content has completely destroyed my interest in the game, I can’t bring myself to play retail, I can barely bring myself to log into the Remix even though there are things I want.

Even though there are positive changes coming in Midnight, I don’t know if I will last long enough in here to experience them.

  • Account canceled one month after release
  • Spend remaining months of gametime in older expansions
  • Totally destroyed my interest in the main story of the Worldsoulsaga

No wonder TWW is in the bottom 3 of my personal expansion rating.

I don’t know if the earthen were needed, couldn’t they just have been wild hammers that found a titan facility that heard the same call the arathi heard. Then we could’ve had more customisation for dwarves. Maybe even Druids.

I get the impression the rootlands and the haranir may feel out of place next expansion. I reckon we should’ve had amani trolls instead. The haranir just feel like customisations for night elves.

Nothing to complain, enjoyed lot and cant wait Midnight and Legion Remix supriced to be really fun and fit great to end of expansions.

Was descent for me and enjoyed it. Wont be jumping of joy when I have to remember TWW but its not Shadowlands or WoD either(for me at least).

Bar karesh which was good, worst expac bar wod. The raids were fine but all three had needlessly punishing end bosses (dim was still fun tho). Dungeons were fine tho suffered from the scaling change in df. New affixes were good but otherwise meh.

I enjoy it, season 3 is kinda fastest dead of all seasons! But, if you havnt done anything in tww so it is worth. I dont know what you like do in World of Warcraft!

I’d say it was pretty good, yeah.

story disaster, no cool factor. gameplay is good. I bought 2 months of gametime for PvP after a long break.

Arena is always fun but the game itself is not cool anymore. Erasure of faction identity harmed this game.
