The War Within: we summon too much stuff

Hence the thread.

I need more upvotes.

Play Prot, you can summon 4 pets that accompany you through dungeons and cheer you on!

Edit:
With all the Vulpera adorableness I forgot there was a topic. I already hate the visual clutter we have to deal with. Especially with Hunters, who seem to make a point out of bringing the largest pets they can physically fit into a stable slot to a dungeon run.

I would really appreciate it if Blizzard found a way to declutter visuals and really work on their telegraphs. I hear they hired some old Wildstar devs, so I have some hopes that we might see some improvement in that regard…

That’s what I am doing!
Although, I don’t like to refer to my guild members as pets :dracthyr_lulmao:

I suggested it before: There should be a setting to tone down visuals and scale down pets/minions of other players, while keeping those of myself intact, let’s me feel all epic with big summons, flashy effects and stuff, without completely losing track of what’s going on in the fight.

I was really hyped about it but I’m also making my peace that it might not be the best option. Atm, San’layn although thematically boring and overall less interesting, looks like it’s going to really fit with how UH plays. Let’s see if anything will change through Beta. (doubtful)

I think it will see play in PvP.
Permanent mount speed in combat is going to be extremely powerful in arena.

I agree, they should at least disable friendly pets (or shrink them down to battle pet size) and effects like Death and Decay/Defile or Consecrate. Those make it extremely hard to notice any hostile spells going off in the area. Anything that covers the ground should only be visible to the person using the spell.

Or ,hear me out it may sounds crazy ,make hostile attack qs BETTER

Aside from the visual clutter, I don’t really like them because they’re mostly passive, like a glorified DOT you put on an enemy. What I like more are the changes that enhance my gameplay - take monks for instance: I’m way more excited for the aerial dash after a roll that you will be able to do rather than summoning something more.

I disagree, and I’m a Monk main with 7-8 max level Monks. That’s how much I Monk.

We have a mobility creep problem.
It might be irrelevant in PvE where it’s just fun to move fasters but in PvP, all melees have 100% uptime on casters which creates a lot of problems, and gimmicky mechanics like Precognition are created to try and solve the issue.

PvP shrugs can’t understand millions of signaling from blizzard that they don’t care about PvP and treat it like a side gig.
Yes I want my screen to be cluttered with demons, yes I don’t have a problem with visuals in this game and to be honest i’ve seen far worse visual cluttering - FFXIV for example, where if you don’t turn off other player’s visuals you might as well die from epilepsy.
The only time I had problems with visuals is Razshageth and Nymue

And they better keep that! At least for beast mastery.
It’s one of the big reasons I love that spec so much.

The other classes not summoning is fine with me. :stuck_out_tongue:
But don’t mess with hunters!

And rogue summon Shadow clones?

You might as well be a PvP player then, because it seems your opinion is the minority on this matter.

I mean I’m not arguing with that, I only PvE, but I do find it more interesting than the random “summon something more” thing. But it could really be anything related to gameplay mechanics.

I’m sure that I’ll have problem with that in PvP, and no I don’t think I’m minority, forum dwellers are not even 2% of wow fanbase, did someone ever said that diabolist doesn’t look cool? No, is rider of the Apocalypse the coolest looking dk’s hero tree? Absolutely, are they flavorful and enhance class fantasy? Definetly.
Will I have problem with that in PvE content? No, I won’t, because I don’t actually need to see what my party does visual wise, all it matters is what bosses and mobs do, and usually it’s clear by castbars under their healthbars.
And big circles on the floor

I do.

Too bad, because judging by warlock discord and overall feedback you are minority.
Yeah yeah ritual of ruination is reskinned avatar of destruction from destro’s tree, so what

I like a lot of summons, its visually appealing.
