The weekly "Power in RP and how to get other people's consent for it thread"

Yeah seeing as you still have ostracisim/exile as a valid form of punishment, but it calls for one head-honcho to instigate it.

This is one of things they do. If you can’t stand the heat, don’t start it. Once the fire is lit, it is hard to contain.

He knows the risks and takes it.

To be Honest, I think you should all just stop being Pr**** and get along but that aint ever going to happen.

Guard guilds should stick to being guards, not adding war campaigns and being judges to their repertoire.

They’re both clan leaders, though. And I thought the guard has supreme authority, no?

She didn’t get accused, she got straight sentenced.

Do you think it’s Grunt Bob that sends you to infiltrate the Burning Blade, or a higher up? ( Thrall ). Bob doesn’t get to say " This guy is actually a traitor go kill him ". It has to pass to higherups.

To which I again point out you never saw me RP. But no, I don’t self insert, unlike a certain grimtotem.

They sure are, they just don’t get to put bounties on people when there wasn’t any investigation done.

I dunno, did the lore boi murder someone and run away? Is he the clan leader of a tiny side-show clan? If not, the situation might be a lil’ hint different.

source it boy, orgrimmar is not a bureaucracy.

and ran away instead of even trying to fight the charge.

I’m glad I’ve never seen you RP, and man, you really have a grudge against that guy, huh?

were you there?

You mean grunts?

Because Grunt is the standard soldier type within the Horde, and they are not only used for guard duty, but also front line soldiers.

At least with Orcs.

goblins in org, too. Basically they’re an all-encompasing basic force.

Are they called grunts?

I only know of 1 that calls herself that. Cools.

Possibly. Neither was proven, so let’s assume he did.

They’ve been doing pretty good work to help the Horde, though. And who says it’s tiny? Might even be larger than the legion.

It, nonetheless, has ranks.

I’m glad you’ve never seen me RP, either! Let’s keep it that way, sounds like it would be best for all involved.

Perhaps.

What response do you expect to the equivalent of “I dunno maybe”?

Anyone that publically RPs a group/guild/clan/legion as remarkably bigger than its player count can represent is doing basic badrp, rog isn’t a bad rper, so I say it’s tiny.

Irrelevant answer, can you source that every quest telling you to kill stuff is funneled through high command, the warchief, what have you?

All I am going to say is that if you have an opinion you should display it in a civilized manner. I am noticing some people here cannot debate without devalidating others for their PvP skills which is a big ???

Secondly, I think people should not get involved unless they were actively part of the plot and know the whole story.

And third, if people in guard type guilds want to make arrests, executions and wanted lists, they should be able to unless the one directly accused has an issue. In which case, that can be discussed between them. I see people saying that orders should be passed to higher ups before being executed but no one is going to RP Sylvanas herself to pass those orders. That would be absurd.

Ultimately, this is RP. Just have fun and be mindful of others. If there is an issue address it politely. If it doesn’t concern you, do not get involved. Otherwise this will escalate into biased drama.

We just use common sense in cases like that. If you get sent to deal with X traitor in quest, do you think the Grunts investigated the matter and infiltrated the Burning Blade, or did Thrall have a spy do that, who then reported and the job got ( to kill X ) got passed down to the grunts, who issued a bounty?

Much as I respect our boys in short shorts, I think you’re overestimating their importance and array of duties.

Personally I like using lore instead of personal interpretation but to each their own.

And I’d love to read some of the lore supporting your points!

We already went over this my friend, the whole thing of how the burden of proof works.

Time and time again we see grunts, sergeants, etcetera of no great importance hand out bounties like candy. Never is it said that all of that is funneled through high command or the warchief.

How is this not a guild yet?

I’ve considered making one on both blue and red side, just to flex on people
