I guess I’m not the only one but having zones this big makes me less likely to leave Valdrakken because it’s such a hassle to get around, even with dragonriding. It’s ironic that it was easier to get around in SL. It’s just a big emptiness with no content.
It wasn’t .
You havent played the game then.
It doesnt take more than 2 minute to cross the whole map from one side to another with dragonriding. And from Valdrakken you are at 1 min flying from almost every zone
Yeah then you run out of vigor against a cliff and need to wait a few minutes for recharge.
Only if you’re bad at dragon riding (and you’d have to be really bad to run out of vigor just crossing zones).
Getting around SL at launch was torture. Revendreth is an amazing zone but god was it a pain to do anything in.
Having to use a flight point to go from one zone to another, but always passing through oribos, took like 5 minutes to do anything.
The zones in DF are a normal size? I don’t understand this complaint lol
I don’t remember it being easy. I feel off the cliff in Bastion more than I can count. A friend here on the forums can verify as I was with them mount farming
And Revendreth is filled with mobs and high castles
Only time I run out of vigor is when I don’t watch where I’m going because I’m tabbed out or I’m just on autopilot and fly right into a tree or something and lose all my momentum.
Also, it doesn’t take a few minutes to recharge.
I get motion sick when dragon riding and use the flight paths a lot.
You can get around really fast if you master Dragon Riding. It can take some practice though. There are lots of helpful vids out there.
What are you on about?
It’s takes 2 minutes maximum to get anywhere from Valdrakken. Dragonriding has made travel super easy.
I just had to check…
Bro doesn’t have all the glyphs, if any.
Rather than zones being big there ain’t really anything meaningful to do yeah i’m looking to get a horn for my dragon which will be useless in next expansion.
I do agree it’s too big, although it’s not harder than Revendreth (nor Bastion - hated trying to get around that place).
When I look at the map to see where a quest objective is and it looks like it’s around the corner but then you try to walk to it and it turns out to ba five miles away.
I thought Legion and SL zones were cramped mazes with too many mobs but the solution wasn’t to make a huge map with mountains everywhere.
What wow needs is more zones like Wrath and MOP. Reasonably sized zones, differing terrain, suitable mob density.
I hope this was done purely to allow for Dragonriding and that we won’t be getting this again in future expansions.
Yeh, it’s what I expected to be honest.
Aren’t open worlds in MMO better when they have huge landscapes and forests etc with good attention to environmental details. And a sense of exploration and a world to explore? If anything i haven’t felt that about wow in years until now.
People really want away with that? Be boxed in again into zones like shadowlands who where all in one color and same environment only?
Everybody celebrated it back in MoP when we all entered the massive Jade forest in Pandaria. And you had no dragonriding back then even. Pandaria being considered one of the best enviorments and places to explore in game for years.
Its a weird thing to take issue with this is. But each to their own.
Ah definitely need to unlock those and you only need to do it once, after that every alt has the tree fully unlocked and is able to choose talents straight away.
How about you farm the glyphs and then enjoy unlimited supersonic speed?
i believe it’s cause you are missing a few talents in the dragon riding talent tree. it takes way less time when you fully upgraded it all!
Fully unlocked dragon riding is faster than normal flying.
Not to be rude, but have you maxed out your Dragonriding by getting all the glyphs? Once you’ve done that, it’s easy to cross the entire map with ease.
