If you need mail purged, please read the complete post below, created by MVP Saneko which explains the only ways EU players can purge their mailboxes.
Your options are if you cannot login due queues:
Level a āFree Retail ā US toon to 10 (Estimated time: A hour ) and head to the US thread
Quick steps guide Choice 1 (For images see top left clickable link āFree Retailā)
1.1 Make a Retail US WoW Starter edition 100% free.
1.2 Level a Retail character to 10.
1.3 Swap US forum character. Relog if you canāt see. More help? See guide^
1.4 Post in linked thread above with name/realm of affected mailbox character(s).
Create a ticket to get it cleared (Estimated waiting time: Up to a week).
Or if you can login at a point with no queues:
Check that you do not have ignored player mail. Clear your ignored player list. If you reported someoneās mail as spam it will hide their mail but not delete it. Check back in 24h.
It could be quest mail that arrives later (A day up to a week ) then clear it yourself.

Can EU Support help me?
EU Support is NOT ALLOWED to assist on the forums for mailbox problems. Do not beat the EU CS staff for this.
Iām in the EU and still demand EU help with 2 sugarcubes in it!!!
Sure, choose option 2 and wait in line for over a week. Thereās plenty players who chose option 1 and get themselves helped - just take a look at the US thread search for EU examples. Itās your choice, 1 hour to level and get help or more then 7 days.
Can US Support help with anything besides mail?
They cannot assist you with active auctions, disband your guilds or do anything about arena teams. You have to login for that and they would block a transfer anyway.

This guide has been pinned as solution by Blizzard and all posts regarding mailboxes will be merged into this megathread. These are your only 2 options at the moment until someone figures out a faster way to clear mailboxes for the benefit of the Postmaster and everyone involved in the transfer progress. So take Choice 1 .

I donāt think they even look before posting in the other thread.
It really needs locking and quick.
Maybe they should consider making the mailbox purge an automatic part of a character transfer.
I think they considered that but reading the US thread there are surprisingly sometimes auctions that get finished and contain a hefty load of gold in them.
With the amount of players just clicking through the āare you sureās you wants to blow this up?ā confirmations or the āType āDELETEā to deleteā and then claim āit was a mistake!!!ā Iām not sure this should be a feature though.
Not without a whole mailbox panel that shows every (quest) mail, whatās in them and the ability to claim or destroy them that is.
