Why are you surprised that there are no “RPG players”?
This game ended up so far away from it’s RPG roots.
If I want to have an authentic RPG experience I’ll just fire up dragon age, witcher, mass effect, or any other actually good RPG.
In WoW the only content I enjoy is raiding. I cant take seriously the story, and activities outside of the raid are all garbage. Yet some of them is necessary if you want to raid in a decent guild, so thats a problem.
Depends on the community / guild. I had a few tries on participating / building groups for both, dungeons and raids. But if you don’t click with people or group activities aren’t happening due rl schedules or lack of commitment, it gets difficult.
At one point, you’re just tired of fruitless attempts to establish social contacts over and over again for nothing. Also, why offer lfg when the difficulty level of M+ is too frustrating to do long-term with pugs? Not that I’d been a fan of unpersonal pugging but with it existing, it should be a less stressful and unrewarding experience for players as it currently is.
It scales endless. Obviously it get to a point where it is not puggable anymore. One of the fun things for M+ players actually is looking back a run and do the puzzle with their group how to do it right the next time. It is challenging content.
let’s take for example TBC ok?
There are certain Quests with a very good items
so you should go and take those items to help you do better in dungeons
with this design they did a very good job for zones to be relevant
even for ALTs
Nowdays when you want to do a higher diff you just straight skip to m0 blast that and then spam m+ and do HC raids
everything under that is irelevant
back in the day even Quest item was good enough in content
at least from what i saw in TBC how people were doing certain quests for certain items
it spark my WOW brain again and i was thinking about why is not like that anymore
why we always go straight to dungeons and raids
why not put something very good to Quests for people
I am not against that at all. But i don’t understand why someone thinks fishing is not a valid thing to do, when he likes to do that. Everyone creates their own fun in the game. Who cares about that whole list of “no xxx number in y-content = bad”. That is somehow caring and thinking other people judge you. Just go fishing when you like. Your game your fun.
I do get the concept. Not much different to raiding with a guild or com really. However, I don’t feel like the opportunities of having such groups are there for everyone. If I have the choice of doing M+ with men, who dress their female characters like strippers, boys, who throw the n-word and overall acting prematurely in voice, people, who haven’t made it over +7 but want me to push them and guide them just to lose interest in playing or switch factions on the way, I choose pugging over it. Even if just for a limited time before getting frustrated with that and its toxicity, too and just leaving M+ behind. Which is just where I’m at currently.
Fishing is one of the few relaxing activities left in the game tbh… Together with harvesting in druid flight form…
BS… quest item were just as irrelevant then as now.
Back then it was straight to HC and then into raids. The same thing we saw on stream for TBC classic. The problem is, that back then most people were utter garbo at the game, blizzard even said it themselves, the vast majority never even did a dungeon, it’s why the LFD came in Lich King, so ofc world content felt relevant for those people, because they didn’t know any better.
