There is a weak aura to detect one button rotation use

Creating a WA to detect OBR users.

On the throats of less dedicated players I guess :dracthyr_tea:

Oh I thought it would been something else :joy:

Huge mess anyway, theres no issue with obr really and like some said in thread there is addons that have done same without penalty since forever.

People have just found a new scapegoat.
“Blame the guy who is believed to use SBA instead of the guy who got the fire debuff and set Amidrasil seed holders on fire”.
Personally I think that 5 to 25% less dps than the ideal perfect DPS possible is not what will make or break any content outside of world first race (and who on earth would end up in a world first raid team with that performance) or some extreme keystone.

So people think it might be a good idea to insult and expose someone with a disability or injury and flame them?

I mean is the general population of this rock floating in space really that disgusting?

I suggest Blizzard permanently ban anyone at all using that to insult or disparage individuals and it should be brutal including total account deletion.

Anything less is just a joke.

You don’t need to be disabled to use OBR. I would use it if I played DPS because I am bad at DPS. I’m not disabled.

And that’s fine too imho but we do not know who is on the other end of the screen.

So anyone insulting or disparaging against anyone using accessibility tools should be flat removed from the game - total account removal.

The feature can be used by anyone though. If a kid breaks their leg and rolls up to school in a wheelchair basically everyone is wanting a shot of it.

No they think that it gives some advantage for an easier gameplay over them when it actually is not accurate. Obr does nonsensical rotations and comes with gcd nerf, and there is addons/auras that help perfect rotation without gcd nerf. I tested obr on my mage and it kept casting arcane blast over and over for 12 times total while I had clearcasting procs and 5 arcane charges for barrage and I was like “yep, I will never use this”. If I would raid and I would wish to minmax dmg there is rotation auras for it, obr is for being able to play with handicap like without other hand or if just want to do some farm and press 1 button while doing it. It’s good and its not away from anyone.

Nope, I am blaming the guy who is using OBR that is standing in the fire because he didn’t bother to learn their rotation much less the mechanics of the content they are doing.

When Blizzard releases their own damage meter, they should just summarize OBR damage as OBR in %, and only make it visible in post-combat analytics to avoid stigmatization, so guild leaders can see how their players perform. Very easy solution. I feel like that’s a good middle ground between enabling cooperative perfomance checks, while avoiding bullies as much as possible.

And yet plenty of players who manually go through the motions of their rotation still stand in fire or miss mechanics. I think it’s fair to say that plenty of players can tunnel vision on their rotation, which can cause them to miss a kick or take a few extra ticks of damage from a swirly. One could argue that OBR actually frees players up to be more alert and focused on mechanics.

Your argument is a bit like saying: “I’m going to create a WeakAura that detects other players using WeakAuras and DMB. If they are using combat addons, then they must be bad players because they can’t be bothered to pay attention to boss emotes, set stopwatch timers, or track phases manually — they’re just lazy.”

But in reality, these tools literally free players to focus on other aspects of the fight and can ultimately help them perform better. Otherwise, why would anyone use them?

Most of the players don’t play even close to optimally, even while knowing their rotation. But most of the players don’t even know the rotation, and frankly, most of the players have no idea that OBR exists

I tried OBR and looking at damage in LFR, most of the people don’t use it as their damage would be actually way way higher than what it was.

Would you know about OBR without forums? I really doubt
Most people don’t use forums that often/listening to dorki poscast/Reddit/twitter.

Ofc breed more toxic views…

There is a prompt for it when you open your spellbook, so yes I would have known about it without the forums/reddit/wowhead. And before I decided to quit the game I was able to correctly guess which players were using OBR in my groups, which they did confirm when I asked them nicely in /w. You can come to conclusions how I knew they were using OBR.

How? And why do you believe they not lied to you? Why would you ask that question random people in the group? Nowadays I would think if the damage is good, they probably use OBR, in mid-low content.

Sure there is a button in a spell book in some weird location and I don’t think most people looking THAT way.

Really? Cause OP is warning people that are using OBR that streamers are encouraging their audiences to bully them.

Why you are so sure that people do more damage than OBR? On some specs it’s really good.

I would. I only watch clips of lolcows (Big ups Liquid Richard). I can make up my own 0IQ takes. I don’t need some cornball with similar IQ to me to tell me what to think.

Doing disproportional amounts of DPS compared to utility usage. By which I mean doing decent dps but missing obvious stuff like not using a DR on big hits, next to kicks, next to CC on +13/14/15s. And why would you lie that you ARE using OBR?
