People who keep saying “there is no definition of classic+” are delusional, and just deaf to the community. There’s no definition, oh really?
Of course there is.
Just read the forums and fansites, listen some streams and videos, OMG.
1- Frozen 60 max level. (SoD may respect this in the end.)
2- Classic Lore + Classic-fitting unpublished lore. (pursuing unfinished questlines, introducing some pieces of the RPG…)
3- Unpublished zones (Hyjal, Azshara crater, Blackened Woods, Silvermoon, Sunwell Grove…)
4- Polish unfinished specs and gameplay (Balance Druid, Tanking Enh Shaman, Tanking Paladin, Ret Paladin…)
These are simple, core features of Classic Plus.
Prove me wrong please!
Also you’ll frequently have some features that are not “core” but often asked:
5- New Races (High Elves, Goblins, Ogres. I’d add Furbolgs maybe.)
6- New class (I don’t think we need any, except from Monk maybe, if we can’t get it derived from Priest with a Runesmith)
7- New combinations like Human Hunter - in general with the hard limit of Shaman staying Horde-exclusive and Paladin Alliance-exclusive.
Adding news specs through the Runesmith system is fine, and a good experience to work from.
I guess SoD will reach Classic+, as it manages point (4) and maybe point (1), as Karazhan preview lets hope for points (3, 2).
But it is by no means Classic+ in itself currently, as Classic+ mustn’t be seasonal.
Will our characters be destroyed after SoD shuts down?
