There's a Cathedral in WoW. Why not a mosque?

Hmmm…I did say ‘British Military’ rather than Army…I simply gave the RAChD as an example, rather than listing every branch of the Armed services and their religious staff…I did not actually claim they were there to convert the locals…I was just drawing the parallel that when we go to war there is an authorised individual there, to say ‘our’ God’s cool with this, he thinks we are right and you can disregard that inconvenient Commandment…if there was just a requirement for a psychologist, then you could probably just take a psychologist, no?

Exactly this. Thank you.

You hope.

Maybe the original devs are from a distant galaxy?!

At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me. ^^

He is a Antifa fasho, don’t waste your time and nerves

Nah we don’t need terrorism in wow.

A cathedrel in wow has nothing to do with the religion of the christians.
they pray to the light a fictional cosmic power and thats all their is to it.

Do not take these things to serieusly please.

So many things I could make comment on but following the chess reference I’m now fixated on the Baby Eating Bishop of Bath & Wells :stuck_out_tongue: (Blackadder II was superb).

wha ?? ehh ?? haa ???

you literally just said catholic is a christian denomination !

RL religion aside, I do wish Blizzard paid more attention to the alternative Light-using practices in WoW instead of trying to blend it all in together with a Silver Hand and human-based Light worship theme. We got Sunwalkers. We got Prelates. We got Blood Knights. We could also have Elune-based night elven ‘paladins’. I wish they had made all these their own, unique things and delved into each culture a little more. Give them their own visuals, too!

okey, so far i have gathered that you do not want an expansion revolving around islam, however, you want religious symbols to be represented in an expansion revolving around…that.

so, fine, lets imagine there would be such an expansion to put your pretty mosque in. but…what else? what is it supposed to be about that fits into world of warcraft?

why a mosque and not something else except you just wanting it? what makes a mosque so much more important or interesting than other religions/churches/themes etc? why dont they deserve an entire expansion dedicated to them?

in my opinion, mop aesthetics/theme-wise was a mistake. people will either love or hate it. for me mop, while maybe pretty to look at, didnt feel like wow. so i would pretty much hate another expansion revolving around country x or religion y.

so what else do you want to see in this mosque expansion that has nothing to do with religion?

edit:

and why arent you satisfied with all the other architectal references like silvermoon etc (someone listed them above already)? yeah stormwind has a church/cathedral in it but theres an entire city designed to look arabicish, ignoring all the other arabic influences in various places? tbh thats like complaining the cathedral in stormwind doesnt look like notre dame or something…

Cool. Can we have a mosque that has nothing to do with the religion of the muslims then?
Because as I stated earlier, I want the building to be a place to worship the Light as well.

The Light.
It can just be a place to worship the Light. Some southern continent where they worship the same Light, except with different buildings and clothing.

I feel like I’ve said the same thing 15 times in a row, but you people can’t seem to pay attention.

but you can already worship the light. you do not need a mosque for that.

love how you conveniently ignored all my other questions, again.

Well I guess we already have trolls, we didn’t need to add Zandalari to the mix. Scrap Zandalar everyone! One flavour is enough!

We are focusing and we are also hard no’ing

There is no reason to implement such a thing it’s a American game. I’m pretty certain if I go to a country and start demanding they put church’s in their game they’d likely also say no.

Why? What purpose would it serve? I mean besides useless npc’s like within the cathedral…

To add interesting visuals to the game.
I wouldn’t mind more cathedrals as well by the way, they’re beautiful buildings and it’s always a special experience to visit one.

dude, if you want to pray in a mosque, just go to silvermoon.

and thats kind of the problem, isnt it? unlike mosques, zandalari fit because they were part of an expansion.

Do not get me wrong though I do not care what blizzard adds in their game cathedrals, mosques they also did a great job adding some “aztec culture” but that served a purpose… your idea of adding a mosque just for visuals does not.
