There are countless theories about WoW heading into a Light vs Void theme.
You could actually do the opposite, and make the mosque a place of worship for Void-bearers. It would make sense within the lore because the only known entities to have used void magic for good reasons are an Ethereal and Void elves - which are just blood elves.
Both blood elves & ethereal are somewhat related with arabic/muslim themes, and therefore, it could be fitting for a void “capital” to have a mosque dedicated to the void.
Do you remember when pandarens came to WoW. And people were actually stating blizzard should be sued for racism.
I can’t see adding mosques to American game resulting in any better. One slightly wrong depiction and your about to start a cultural war.
I don’t mean that negatively at all.
But it’s the truth. The same reason why smite a game based on mythology took years before even looking at a Christian god. Because they were terrified or incorrect representation or it being considered racist
Well I mean, depicting Asians as Pandas is probably the most cliché thing you could do. Might as well have them eat rice as well. It’s like naming your female Spanish character “Fajita”.

Well they have taken tons of insparation from many different cultures in their game… look at the taurens look at the zandalari trolls just to name a few. and I would not mind if the next would be arabian/muslim. but if its just for visuals or some represatation of a certain religion then I have to say no thank you, you know

well? but why muslim-inspired and not something else? what makes it so special? why cant we pray to the light/void somewhere else? why a mosque and not, i dont know, pantheons or buddhist monasteries? i just dont see anything special about it that would warrant to be part of an expansion. its all pretty much interchangeable.
all i see is just that you want a mosque but not a specific setting it could fit in. you say it could be part of an expansion but why dont you elaborate on that instead? how would it fit and why? what else would be part of it? what setting?
i just dont really see the need of it if it doesnt fit in. we already have many arabic-style places so you could just use them, since they are already there?
They’re not, until they are. If you think Blizzard has the whole “Shadowlands afterlife” in mind back in WOTLK, you’re quite naive. They come up with random BS all the time.
It’s funny because on the same thread, you have one person trying to prove me wrong by saying that there’s already arabic architecture in Silvermoon, and another person trying to prove me wrong by saying that Blood Elves have nothing to do with arabic/muslim culture.
You guys aren’t even trying to make sense, you just don’t want muslims in your game, no matter how inconsistent and contradictory your arguments against it may be.

There is also Cathedral of Eternal Night, which is neither a real life cathedral, nor related to christian things whatsoever, it could might as well be called mosque or whatever.
Furthermore we do have 2 races that could fit muslims:

Lightforged draenei, who already have a fitting racial where they deal aoe damage around them when they die.

Lightbound draenei from WoD led by crazed Yrel, who forced others to convert or purged all those that didnt bend to the light, which is also quite fitting thematically.

Draenei can’t be muslim, because they’re already inspired by Jewish culture and lore.

What does a mosque look like to you? A squared building with either a flat roof or a dome with a tower attached to it can be a Mosque, half of Dalaran fits that description
