They fixed the front shred :'(

As a Druid, it felt so fun to just be able to shred in front now it’s back to a meh tier

Druids are already underpopulated and unpopular and also not pretty strong, so why …
When there’s still mages doing exploits BRUH

FOR REAL ! Like I said, druids shouldnt be the priority. We are already the least played class in classic era … Like give us atleast a little bit of fun till WOTLK LMAO
While warriors and mages are 80% of players in all servers and they got a lot of fixes to do

Is this a joke honestly? Its been okay for the past 6 years and now its not?

It was fine tbh, you technically were behind the target just as the description says.
Blizzard seem to be fixing(ruining) a lot of things nobody even asked for this anniversary, like respeccing in the middle of dungeons whenever people only wanted to not pay the trainer ever increasing gold.

So they fixed a completely irrelevant bug, but refuse to fix the Heroic strike offhand hit bug?
Devs are warrior mains, I guess.

Came here to find out if anyone else had this issue. Seems so. It was fun while it lasted, heck I was even outdps’ing everyone for a while… Still love feral druids though

This is so incredibly frustrating man. Front shredding by all means only added something to the game when playing feral… ffs blizz

The weirdest thing is, the change happend while the server was ONLINE! I was BEYOND confused. I grinded kolkar in Desolace for reputation and then went to the kodo graveyard in the middle and suddenly i couldn’t shred anymore. I thought it was the kodo’s hitbox, but in fact, it didn’t work on ANY mob anymore.
Also, the movement behaviour of mobs has changed. They now backpedal much quicker when you’re in cat form. I suppose it had to do with the weird horizontally-shaped hitbox of the cat, resulting in your front sticking into the enemies behind, eventhough you were facing it. It must have to do with this, because rogue’s weren’t able to backstab this way. Now the mob will just adjust it’s position, once you make a tiny step in it’s direction as a cat.
I am actually heartbroken, because i don’t have much time for leveling and this speeded things up quite a bit. Now i have to play like a noob again, it hurts!

FFS Blizz, would it be too much to have druids feel they have some damage after over 20 years! Front shredding was main reason i rolled druid, BLIZZARD YOU WASTED MY TIME. At least give druids a free respec so i can get rid of those shred talents.

Another case of “fun detected”. Please blizz, just reverse this change, its so unnecessary…

Yeah, why did Blizzard fix a BUG huh? For what? Why should we use a skill as intended when we could exploit a bug to our advantage?

Instead of leveling being extremely easy, it will just be easy. I understand your despair.

Why is it a bug? A bug to me is something like a dupe glitch or MISSINGNO from pokemon. This is just that stand on top of something apparently counts as standing behind it.
Anyway the only consequence of this is that feral druid soloing is slightly easier/faster since you don’t need to use it any other time.

Tell that to the mages taking 40 zombies in ZF by jumping from wall to wall.

The only time Druid was “easy” in leveling was when we had cat form with 30% speed talent and travel form. After 40-45, these “advantages” are clearly useless.
What I mean is that, endgame druids are bad both in Vanilla and Tbc (atleast the dps spec) so I dont understand why they couldnt let us do front shred since it didnt impact everything except our comfort in leveling

I cannot name change, but i would to SadCloudRipShred. I lost a friend today. Goodbye satisfiyng shreding sounds and 20% dps. I feel empty.

Mages have had an easy life since 2005, it will never change, but we heard them squeak during SoD when they underperformed compared to other classes, it had never happened to them, it was funny to see.

Regarding the druid, it is a fun class to play, an effective and pleasant leveling, useful in pve and good in pvp. But yes, in the world of nofun degenerate hysterics who only think about optimization and consider that 1 dps below the optimal makes you a useless being, the druid has a hard time finding his place.

But it’s not the only one, and in the world of normal, sane people, a druid is a very useful ally. Learn how to play what you like before looking for performance in a 20-year-old game where those who still take it so seriously are clearly socially unsuitable.

Well my way of “fun” is to be competitive with a class/spec and sometimes race that I like.
But this isnt even the subject of the matter. Because first of all in Vanilla WoW, most people are gonna take warriors/mages and or rogues instead of a druid in raid thats the way it is unfortunately.
However I still rolled a druid because I like the class and I found out that the leveling (which is 60%-70% of the vanilla gameplay) would be a little bit easier just with the front shred. I can manage to not top dps meter till Wotlk; but like we had something fun and they took that from us while other classes are still OP.
It’s a bug, exploit … Yea… But did it make ferals broken ? Nope. Did it make the leveling a bit easier and fun ? Totally.

Thats the point, mages can use exploits to AOE Farm since the end of time, and we had just one single target thing and they fixed it.
