Also it primarily encourages AV PvE-Fiesta. Wondering how itll be in Anniversary, but the experience in Era has been no bueno.
Are you referring to the honor required for ranking?
im referring to the fact that any points earned between brackets are rendered meaningless. this is really bad for casual players. My 15 hks on my alt got me to rank 2, same as anyone who put the effort into grinding 10k honor.
if you reached 33749 you would have received the same RP as someone who reached 22500. This entire system is extremely bad unless you both understand it and secondarily you stop playing when you can’t reach the next bracket. Any extra effort is just rendered wasted unless you reach the next checkpoint. The entire system is also completely unintuitive unless you get information outside the game.
Maybe the problem is also to play just to reach brackets. PvP used to be something without particular goals (except crushing the enemy ofc)
yea i think loot makes pve bad too. it would be better for both pve and pvp if there was an even playing field and not requiring rewards as incentive
I think blizzard made this new solo system just so its easy to rank and not have to play 18 hours/day for 3 months for 1.2 mil weekly honor for rank 14 and that sorta thing.
You don’t have to worry about others honor, Don’t have to play insane hours.
the system is still flawed. the old system at least had benefit for playing beyond the exact cutoff points
people who got 33750 honor got to rank 4 60%. People who got 1 less honor point didn’t get to rank 4 59%, but they reached rank 3 80%, same rank as someone who got 22500

Did the ranking to 14 just before SoD got launched/announced.
It was fine, the first few ranks are easy as heck, but you’ll be spending plenty time to reach the max possible progression after that.
I do agree that there should be in-game information on how far your honor takes you and how the system actually works…
It’s insane that you can get to 99% of a new rank and it completely whipes the progress at reset without anything in the game telling you why.
These stages of rank progression are complete nonsense.
How on earth would a new player know how to navigate it?
It’s classic. There’s no in-game information about anything. I need to add 16 numbers with calculator to find out my bonus healing. And I need to look into aged Internet corners to find formulas which convert that bonus healing to actual ability healing.
The honor system seems to fit just fine.
Your bonus healing doesn’t have bracket cutoffs rendering parts of it useless. But healing power should be displayed on the tooltip of spells to make it more intuative. Existing things being bad in classic is not a good reason for things to keep being poorly designed.
