Yes, the new devs donât care about game dev, they do care about things that was in the game for years and changes that no1 asked for. They searching for dick jokes, hiding womans, rename NPCs, they even add mens in Illidanâs harem(are u srs? wtf u doing?) - spending tones of times for nothing. And seems like they like to do it. While NW and FF going forward. I on srs note donât like when in fantasy world adding any IRL trends.

Youâre joking right? They implement horrible systems with flaws apparent from alpha/beta, players keep telling them, nothing is done until half of the expansion or last patch, I hardly call that listening to feedback, the only reason theyâre doing it now is because the playerbase is bleeding.
The game right now is not by gamers for gamers, itâs by twitter mob for shareholders and the playerbase is left hoping Blizzard wonât disrespect their time even more.

Player feedback is 99% of the time complete and utter garbage. Iâve read the forums for decades and my advice to Blizzard would be to stay away. Filling oneâs head with the poop on the internet does absolutely no good for any form of game creativity, design vision or sheer boldness in regards to new ideas.
That pressure that players assert on the development process does nothing good for anyone, and it never has.
Like I said, almost all good games that are released these days have been made in secret with little to no input from random teenagers and armchair developers on the internet.
And the crowd on Reddit are certainly no guiding star either. Itâs a dumpster.
The sooner Blizzard starts to build some confidence in their own ability to make good games, the sooner we might actually get some good games again.
I mean, whatâs the status right now?
Blizzard have decided to do something that they want to do and they think is right for the game.
And immidiately the internet scrabble push back on that, trying to dictate with their mass and volume what should and shouldnât happen to the game and what the priorities are.
That internet scrabble just needs to be silenced and ignored and forgotten and dismissed.
The best thing Blizzard can do is to stop listening to player feedback and start listening to themselves and their colleagues. Thatâs how great games get made.

Old school blizzard ended in 2008, oddly enough last time they made a high quality game.
if they âlistened to feedbackâ we wouldnt have tons of awful systems in legion, bfa, and SL.
just to name a few, azerite system, covenant cosmetics being linked to powerlevel, choreghast etc. you get the point.

I think youâre completely missing the point and sure most feedback is bad but not all of it like you claim, most changes in 9.1.5 were asked for for ages for a good reason.
Really? How many of the many kickstarter games that used player feedback gathered during alphas/betas turned out to be great games? Youâre simply generalizing while being overly dramatic for no reason there.
It could be but itâs not always the case, again, generalizing.
I donât know why youâre angry at the playerbase so much, all that most of us want is for the game to be good.

Was Warcraft: Orcs & Humans made with input from players on the internet who rabbled on like crazy during its Beta process? No. Did it harm the game in any way? No.
What about Diablo? StarCraft? Diablo II? Warcraft II? These games are purely a product of Blizzardâs own ability to make great games.

The reason why we keep circle-jerking between new and old design systems is because the players canât think outside the box and be creative.
Players ideas and suggestions are always limited to what is known and tried.
They can only think inside the box.
Theyâll either suggest something from the past to be brought back, something to be more like it used to be in a certain expansion, or something that another game has or had, or something current that they donât like and donât want - or do like and do want.
Thatâs the limitation on player creativity. They can only think within the space of what is already known to them.
You will never ever ever find a suggestion or idea by any player that is unique and new and their own.
No one has ever come to this forum and suggested a brand new feature or concept or anything.
New spells and abilities? No! Every single player suggestion starts with going through the all the old spells and abilities that used to exist, and then pick out the ones they want to have again.
New design approaches to gameplay and systems design? No. Every single player starts out by going down memory lane and picking out the parts they liked from previous expansions as ideas and suggestions for Blizzard.
Thatâs why we keep going in circles, because players donât have a single original idea in their heads. And Blizzard donât trust their own ability to make the game great - they listen to what players ask for.

I would throw the same question back and ask why some players are so angry that Blizzard develops their own game according to their own conviction.
If you want to play a Blizzard game, then surely you want to play a game designed and developed by Blizzard.
Not by Jito or Odrihm on the internet.

Pretty sure, all games you listed there were released prior to 2008. when blizzards moto was for gamers by gamers, it was gamers making games and hence why they were so good. nowadays we have clowns as devs who straight up do not play the game, but the new bossman is a gamer apparently so hopefully good things will keep comming after 9.1.5.
a what now? players do not design the game, devs to, players however can play the game on beta, and provide feedback, they did it for island expeditions, warfronts, azerite, legendary system, choreghast, whole anima bs, conduits, big list really.
players dont have to suggest anything, its not their job to. what players can do is tell and be vocal when system is garbage.
hereâs an example, Im not a chief, I cant cook high tier food, if I go to restaurant Im not gonna tell the chief how to cook and what to cook as their special dish, what I can say tho is if I like what theyâll cook or not. its that simple.
blizzard cooked azerite, no one liked it, everyone voiced feedback, and blizzard did 0 until people spoke with their wallets, yet here you are speaking how devs âlisten to players feedbackâ its hillarious.

and new devs are out of touch, like remember when they added new customizations and literally everyone and their cousins and their neighbors liked it and then in a week some dev came out being like âno more customization for shadowlandsâ thatâs how out of touch they are, because they dont play the game. most of them at least. that aside, they cant even stick to their ideas, because their ideas are garbage, thatâs why every system since legion (and maybe before that cant speak didnt play after wotlk-pre legion) was edited during the expansion based on player feedback, because what devs are doing is called a garbage product.

Thats why I again check Hearthstone adventures, they are more like old blizzard with fun commentary, jokes etc.
Shadowlands shoud end in early 2023, and on next Blizzcon we shoud get new expansion trailer. I donât think game that have no udeades for so long can still have have enought players to be profitable to support.
I was interesting in Shadowlands from lore point of view but story is writen by fanboy or simps.
Right. Great. More of that. If Blizzard seem to be approaching something of a better course thatâs more akin to the old days - i.e. developers who make games they want to play themselves - then I am certainly not going to push back against that.
I play Blizzard games because I want to play games made by people at Blizzard. Simple.
And the OP is copy/pasting some post where a Blizzard developer is quoted as saying that the recent changes are happening because the developers want to make them.
So I support that, because I think the developers should develop the game according to their own convictions.

Starcraft 2 was awesome. And it came out later than that.
I donât agree with the changes Blizz are making atm but these forums and reddit too are just sheeple jumping on the outrage machine.
