As the title says, all of my guild is strongly against this. It removes the soul of Classic. Remove token now. It will ruin the economy. Stop taking the retail way.

As someone who has never been able to buy gold because I don’t want to get banned but has watched 80% of my guildies go buy gold from botters(while complaining about how many bots there are) I’m glad there’s a token now, at least I can also buy gold for once lol
although to be fair, what does one even need gold for anymore? i make like 1400g/week doing only my jc daily on 2 chars, takes 6min/day. full raiding consumes run me less than 500g

Probably because Wrath Classic’s economy is an absolute mess and that GDKPs are running rampant. It’s the main way to allow players get their raiding gear and many people can’t find dedicated guilds to do HC+ or normal raid instances that aren’t currently recruiting.
Tokens are encouraging GDKPs, it’s directly funnelling gold into GDKPs and ultimately shutting down casual raiding guilds entirely and causing fresh lvl 80s to go to the first GDKP they see in chat to get the gear instead of playing the game as intended.

Players who buy gold illegally should get banned and DO get banned. That’s it, don’t legalize it ,unofficially’’ by adding WoW Token. Fire-extinguisher solutions are not the way to go imo.

I mean it won’t become less rampant even with the token. Hell if anything 3rd party sellers will be emboldened since “Gold Buying” became officially sanctioned. Hell I still see youtube adds for Gold Seller in Retail so the tokens really didn’t work out that well.

yes they do. a lot of my guildies got a month or two week ban. so dont spread false info. they bought gold illegally and they got banned. I am a direct witness.

I know someone who bought a lot of gold a few months ago and they are still playing. So either Blizzard don’t care or they don’t care. You can pick one yourself.

if your guildies got banned they are probably doing it clumsily. ive watched people buy literally hundreds of thousands of gold since aq40. u think the people who buy valanyr for 1.5million gold are farming it themselves? 
i know a guy who has bought 2 of them, he’s a raidlogger who never farms any gold whatsoever.
go look at sarthe stream, he has a char that has gear for over 4 million gold…
personally i find no need for the token now since gold is whatever but back in vanilla i wished they would implement it ^^

It might not ruin the game for everyone, but it’s ruined it for me. Every hour I spent over the past 3 and a half years farming for items that can be bought can now be accessed by spending far less than the sub has cost me.

This seems like you have a problem with Blizzard, not with the game. Adding wow token won’t affect you in any way, neither will your “im unsubbing” message in the forums make blizzard revert it. Gold was bought before token, will be now as well, nothing is changing, its just all of you overreacting

- put a couple of dedicated admins/gm’s per server on your payroll (depending on population)
- ban gdkps and other ways that may ruin the economy by players
- perma ban bots (if I can find them without gm/admin powers, they sure can)
- perma ban gold buyers/sellers
Boom, problem solved.
