No it wasnt, but it was a question raised too many times to count.
There was time when accs stolen even with that.
The Russian forum explained quite clearly why this is a bad idea. And there were more people who understood it. On the Eng tab, there are just a bunch of trolls who are happy that they were given two free bags of ony, not realizing how grossly ignoring the classic balance is. And all just to motivate people to install protection on the account.

Sorry I don’t read Russian or visit the Russian forums. They were not given 2 free Ony bags, there were given an extra fixed slot of four bags. Besides people with Ony bags will get the slots too. 
Protection is needed from hackers, if you don’t see that then lets see what happens when all those complainers get hacked and have to waste 3 three days to get their stuff back.

dk, I play wow with a Wtlk and never got hacked - I even connected authentication once, but then untied it, because I got tired of it. “2 bags” - in the sense of two differences between 18 and 16 bags. Given how difficult they are to get, the next 4 slot either cost very expensive, or would fall out in the nax.
In the actual wow, respectively, the situation is different - there are 4 slots that cost almost nothing, because there are so many of them + resources of 200, potions of 20 and much faster to get to the vendor to sell garbage.

Wow Classic is highly unbalanced and p2w (Buy token in retail for real money, trade retail gold for classic gold, win. Blizzard condones that). Get over it.
Gold sellers are illegal. But the classics have a balance, like the actual, only they differ in priorities - and in their problems. That is why in these two versions of the wow, the value of 4 slots varies significantly.
Except Hipqo is talking about trading between players.
Classic classes are not balanced, where did you get that from?
It doesn’t matter much, you carry 4 more things or stacks of things, no big deal.
88 slots compared to 92 is not a big increase about 4%, it put one more slot on each bag.

Dear Blizzard. It’d be nice if you would consider players like me, that just doesn’t want those “extra kind of things”. Because if you continue like that, it won’t be long before Transmog etc. will be a thing in classic too. And all those players, like me, you won back with classic…
…you will soon loose’em again. 
They didnt consider you weirdo’s being so against having 4 extra bag slots. Its not Blizzard’s fault your all too incapable of getting over it either. Learn to live with it and quite frankly just get a grip there are bigger issue’s in classic than 4 measley bag slots.

Just disable the SMS part of it, voom your 4 slots disappear.
First of all: don’t call me or “us” weirdos. that’s just rude.
Just because you don’t seem to understand it, doesn’t make it wrong or unimportant.
it seems that some ppl just don’t get the point of it. it’s not about 4 bag slots directly, but about changes they do to classic that’ll impact the gameplay.
(And yes! Even something minor as that changes quite something. For starters already means that: you can carry more => you can sell more => you can make more money => slight(!) overall increase of prices in auction house.)
For me it’s about Classic, or non-Classic.
I’m here because i was promised to play the good ol’ classic.
And getting something for doin’ something outside the game, especially with the blizz-authenticator is just not classic. It may start with something “minor” than that, but what’ll come next? Transmog? Mounts won’t be in inventory anymore, but you get your mount collection window again? LFG-Tool? Flying Mounts?
Why can’t Blizzard just leave the game as it is?
Please let all the new stuff out of the old game.

Classic has been played and looked vastly different and changed from the day it released. If that bothers you you should have quit then, not still waste time and complain on forums. No one cares.

You and all the other 4 slot cry babies are weird because honestly there isn’t any other way to describe you people getting this riled up over 4 measley bag slots.
It always come back to this is what made wow bad but it wasnt and its your weird mentality that thinks everything that happens in WoW classic is inately EVIL when its just not the case.
Also its always you weirdos that think adding 4 bag slots is tantamount to adding in LFG or flying like seriously get a grip you absolute mongs it is a complete different situation and you know it.
