how is classic p2w when you can get all your gear and gold by just spending a couple of hours / week running dungeons and raids
I think youâre confusing Classic with Vanilla, you were also promised that it will have layering for the first couple of months.
There are already a ton of changes from vanilla, yet you think a slightly bigger backpack is the slippery slope that will ruin the game?
I really donât get it, is it an OCD thing? I like opposing opinions and all people have said so far is itâs not Classic, but I say Classic (2019) is not Vanilla (2004/5).
Interesting how one side accuses the other of ignorance and intolerance and then wonders why theyâre so âdividedâ.
Modern politics in a nutshell; by the way.
I fail to see where the âdramaticâ part is.
Im putting things in perspective, as this is yet another step away from what we once had. Isolated its âonly 4 slotsâ, agreed, but like I mentioned, if people viewed it like that we wouldnt have 40 men rolling over/reserving 18-slots bags week in and out to get 2 extra slots - yet we had.
Layering is âonlyâ making it less crowded. Mega Servers âonlyâ ment more people to play with. Locked Servers were âonlyâ supposed to be around a short period. 30 instances / day âonlyâ effected the bots. Increased Black Lotus spawn is âonlyâ affecting the farmers. Summoning Infernals in low level areas /Mind Controll people in ships was âonlyâ abusing game mechanics to grief.
Everthing is âonlyâ untill you look back and see a whole other game than the one you returned for.
Some things are needed to fix things that were broken (that Blizzard broke, rather) - fine. But if its âonlyâ 4 slots, why cant we as a community say âthen we dont need itâ. Keep the changes to a minimum.
I agree with the servers stuff 100%. Yet it s a bit hipocritical of us since we both play on âmegaserversâ to avoid servers vanilla-like in size (now they are known as dead servers). Layers are a simple consequence of people avoiding âdeadâ servers so⌠With instance lockouts I agree,it s ridiculous and 100% useless against botting (like it s hard for a botter to make 10 mages and farm 300 instances/day). Black Lotus thing is yet another consequence of people insisting to play on megaservers and minmax mentality that pservers players brougth into game. In Vanilla 90 percent of ppl were raiding only with class buffs and mana/health pots. 4 slots I ve already said what i think so no point in repeating myself. All in all, most âchangesâ you mentioned are forced by players today and their idiotic minmaxing.
No changes was out the window the moment Classic was released. There is a huge difference in the UI, you now have better resolution options etc etc.
#Nochanges was never really a thing as changes was made before launch. On top of that, there are millions more players now than back then.
If no changes were made I have strong belief that there would be more crying and cursing on the forum. Just the ammount of changes that was made in the original cycle of patches up to 1.12 makes one wonder in what part up to the patch we are playing now was WoW ever perfect.
4 bag slots are nothing in the grand sceme of things. Players have been begging for more bag/bank slots from the beginning of time. All these threads about them is from over dramatic humans who try to draw more negative attention to the game they so âpassionately loveâ.
Before you say : I want it to be better, then I have a suggestion for you.
Make your case, state what you think is so flawed and come up with a better solution.
Anyone who remembers real vanilla, was there enchanting profession at all? I thought it was added with Draenei race, but Iâm not really sure. Or maybe Iâm confusing it with inscription or something like that?
That was Jewelcrafting, if I remember.
Enchanting is in Vanilla
Jewelcrafting was added in TBC
Inscription in WOTLK
Do I need them, no, do I want them, yes.
This can be simply answered as its not the community as a whole who donât want the 4 slots if you actually read every comment 70-80% are for the 4 slots and dont understand the upset about it.
You canât turn around and say it should be the community choice when the truth is aslong as its not the choice you want you will still complain so community choice or not youâd still be in the same position your in currently.
Well the 4 slots did make me secure my account after 15 years of no problems so I suppose itâs working as intended.
Actually, thatâs not true, I did get hacked in WotLK when GOMTV leaked itâs entire password database. But that doesnât really count as a hack since my acc name and password were literally out there on dark web.
Blizz: implements 4 extra bag slots for authenticator
Vanilla puritans: Oh my God Iâm having palpitations!
I dont disagree that 4 bag slots is a great value. It is good value.
Is it game breaking in any way, shape or form, or does it mess with the already highly imbalanced character power and highly inflated p2w gold balance? No, not at all. It changes nothing in any of those parts in the game.
The biggest difference it makes, is when creating a new char and having 4 slots more really, thats like a 4 slot bag from the get go.
I totally understand the incentive blizzard is trying to create, people want big bags, thats why we roll for them in Onyxia and ZG and 2FA is a great way to secure more accounts.
Wow classic is p2w in the sense that you can:
- Buy token in retail, with real money
- Sell token in retail, for wow retail gold
- Trade said retail gold to classic gold, on these very forums
- Profit - Buy what ever you need.
This is somehting that is happening and that Blizzard absolutly accepts as part of the game and a legit way to get money in wow. At your own risk ofc, but you will never get banned for buying gold like this. In fact, its happening right here, on the official forums.
For this very reason, its only a matter of time before tokens arrives in classic aswell.
