£350k a week. Not bad. Obviously banning them before they can turn a profit is bad for your business model. So you let them carry on a bit and you both cash in.
Now you cut out the middle man, sell the gold yourself. We’ve all seen bots carry on for days/weeks/months before action is taken. And we all know with the exploitative account revenue you’ve generated you could EASILY afford a cohort of GM’s to police it. But no, it’s far more lucrative to compromise your own game than to make a smaller profit on a well-run game. So just say it. Just say we want max profits and don’t really care about the best experience, just one tolerable enough to allow us to maximise profits. Just say it.

Sure, I don’t blame you for introducing tokens in classic, it’s a sensible choice from a business perspective, it just kills the game for those who’re willing to put in the effort, cause you’re catering to the lazy “instant gratification” SOB’s.

They were 1g80s in naxx, atm they’re around 8g, come ToC, 15g… wonder how it’ll look when ICC hits.
IF, you really want to make money, introduce character boosts on classic and lower the price to eg. €40.
Even I would pay that without thinking twice.

At this point I don’t even care. Blizzard is showing on and on again what their promises are worth (WarCraft III: Refunded, “No WoW Token in NA/EU Classic Realms”, Campaign mode in OW2). I’ll keep playing, at least until the game is still playable. I feel sorry for devs who put their heart and soul into those games for them just to be bastardized by Bobby and his clique of execs.

Why cant the Classic token be redeemed for battlenet balance, and only for gametime ? what’s the reasoning behind this choice ?
What a great idea. Maybe the Olympics should tackle the doping/performance enhancing drug problem by providing athletes with a doping/drug station prior to their events.
Sarcasm aside, why was this not communicated with the community prior to adding this to the game? Evidently you knew the response would negative so you intentionally withheld it from the community which I cannot respect.
Furthermore this doesn’t solve the problem at all, if anything this will only exacerbate the problem as now players who did not buy gold due to fear of a ban will start buying. The economy has already started to inflate ridiculously and it has barely been out 48 hours.
To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Cancelled my sub last night. Part of me hopes this is reverted but the damage is already done. The last shred of integrity classic had is gone.

Hello, what are you trying to solve??? Gold buying were never a thing in Wrath, it has always been against the rules to buy gold and concidered unfair play and cheating. Are you trying to imply that selling gold yourself is the solution? Have you lost all sense of logic?

I will be very honest, wen you Blizzard doing things like this.
You really makes me not want keep my subscription going, buy and play any games you have, support any project you working on.
Its come to a point of feeling embarrassment to even have hopes any of your game to make it “great again” as most players wants but honestly i feel you guys finds way too toss everything to the bottom of the ocean instead of brings everything to glory.
The embarrassment of even playing the game to the point because, I genuinely - likely and probably like others thinks the same you try to find reason to lie in our faces, trying to fool us - see us more as Payers than Players.
I am so tired of this.

A gold buyer breaks the ToS. So buying gold is cheating…
Why do they do it?
Because the state the game is in now is sh*t… Why would anyone want to farm enough gold in order to spend it all on a GDKP run for 1 item.
And on a sidenote… Screw Blizzard… Highroading everyone that RDF is bad for the game and making this decision.

I can’t say I share your optimism, when playing retail it’s still full of sellers…
The people at blizzard in charge of dealing with this are just incompetant, everyone knows where to find sellers, twtter knows, reddit knows, here on the forems we know, everyone but the actual professionals for some reason.
I have zero interest in playing a game that is officially and legally pay to win.
So far im happily playing classic era. Put that token in there, and i’m gone.

So this, buffs, nerfs, esences, etc. are just good for “classic”, but no RDF? Just tell me, when you can input all of this new staff to game, why there is no RDF?

Just started to believe that blizzard changed. Bought first month since long time to try wotlk (retail sucks). I had fun until now… Here we go again. Blizzard disappoint like always 
. Looks like it’s about time to go back to Priva** servers.
