Three lore characters that I

Well, theoretically, then both Lor’themar, Sylvanas and every Horde leader are traitors.

But anyone can tell that Sylvanas won’t play fairly, she’ll cheat and you’ll die for nothing.

And even then he’d still get slated for going against the Warchief’s wishes.

No, instead he insulted Garrosh, got kicked out of Org’ and sulked on the Echo Isle’s despite promising to help Garrosh to Thrall, before disobeying his orders by going to Pandaland and almost being assassinated.

Where was his open challenge to Garrosh in MoP instead of lead a rebellion which almost destroyed the Horde?

Yes, but they were not really caught at the time.

So wait, its only a crime if you get caught?

They aren’t. They joined Vol’jins OPEN rebellion, after managing to get enough solid ground to stand on after the Isle of Thunder. Vol’jin raised taht rebellion with his bare hands. Baine sneaks around and shouts really loud instead. All hot air, no action.

Oh, please. Sylvanas got told by her Warchief not to use the plague, used the plague, open disobedience. She was told by two Warchiefs, actually.

Lorthemar went as far as to open negotiations about leaving the faction.

Here we go again…

He said something like “if you step out of line i’ll kill you” to his face.
He was sent to Pandaria by Garrosh and then attacked by assassins who slit his throat.

Because Garrosh was an idiot/mongrel who just tried to get his allies killed off with the conqust against Gilneas. Stated so in War Crimes and his second short story.

For political reasons. Not because he loves the Alliance or their leaders so much(Hello again Baine). And who was proven right in the end? The one and only sassmaster Rommath.

Nope, it was an open death threat.

No he wasn’t, he something along the lines of “you and your darkspear were not called to this invasion”.

Nope, she used it after, when an attack in Gilneas was already done her way. And Garrosh was still honorable then. Further more, Thrall forbade it too.

I am laughing here. How does this challenge my argument?

He then tried to reason with Garrosh, why just taking all the land by force, without asking or negoatiating with the Pandaren first, was a stupid plan. Yet Garrosh sent assassins to get rid of him. When the landfall campaign continues, anyone who isn’t Orc is used as expandable meatshields. Oh what a great guy that Garrosh right? sighs and rolls eyes

She used it as last obstacle when the Gilneans got reinforcements from the Alliance which turned the tide.

Nope. Stop failing lore, please.

It was used after the battle for Gilneas city. There was no Alliance presence there at the time. The night elves arrived to help evacuations only after the Blight was deployed.

Gilneas also kicked her out without any reinforcements.

Stupid doesn’t out-rule him going against the Warchief’s word.

Well actually no he didn’t go there to assassinate him, or at least not exactly. He sent Vol’jin there to show his worth and if he was still onboard with the Horde. If Vol’jin refused to do what Garrosh sent him to do (or openly object to it again) then he ordered the Orc to kill him.

Dagger in the dark? Ever played it? It was exactly that. Now YOU are bending the lore around

It was in War Crimes, it is what Garrosh says to the orc Rogue during the Landfall questchain.

Would you like me to download the Audiobook for War Crimes and copy that bit out for you?

Nope. See Silverspine questline. The Alliance is already there, when the Forsaken have to retreat out of Gilneas completley.

Erevien. Sylvanas attacks Gilneas. Gilneas rallies and defeats her in the battle for the capital city, without any Alliance reinforcements.

Blight is deployed after. The Gilneans evacuate, night elves arrive.

The Silverpine offensive, which you reference, came after all of the previous events.

Ergo, Sylvanas used the blight before any Alliance reinforcements were present on the field.

ok, true. Still open and not behind his back. He even warned him that he will come and kill hime when the time is ripe.

No he wasn’t, he something along the lines of “you and your darkspear were not called to this invasion”.

I’m pretty sure the Assassination attempt happened while Vol’jin was in some Saurok-cave with Kor’kron where Garrosh had sent them to, for Vol’jin to be assassinated.

Not sure what happened at the Start of the Landing in Pandaria.

And did he? No. Instead of doing the honorable thing he tore the Horde in half and betrayed the Horde in order to defeat Garrosh.

If we use this line of thought then all the current Horde leaders are traitors because they betrayed Garrosh, regardless of what Garrosh did.

No, Warcrimes shows the conversation between Garrosh and the Orc assassin (which in game is just some /emote of whispers you don’t hear). They sent Vol’jin into the cave to see if he was onboard with the Horde and if he showed any traitorous comments or remarks (etc…) to kill him.

It was a loyalty test basically.
