Three lore characters that I

Magatha not only used underhanded tactics to get rid of Cairne but took advantage of it to assault Mulgore with the Grimtotem, which caused the death of an entire tribe of shaman, you know, the spiritual leaders of the tauren people.

I know BFA is an idiot plot and the denizens of Azeroth are suffering a collective case of duuuuuh, but for tauren to accept Magatha’s “aid” with open arms “just because” would be worse than anything BFA has done so far, which is an extremely low bar as is.

There are better options out there than Magatha.

The Sunwalkers and Tahu are for example just Baine carbon copies. All those more aggressive Tauren are either Highmountain or Grimtotem.

Why do they have to be aggressive? Tauren aren’t orcs in fursuits, they don’t have to be forced with an overly aggressive leader just because it’s the current edge flavour of Horde.

Also Stormsong’s attitude seemed close to Cairne’s despite being Grimtotem, would be nice to see him actually added into the game.

They used to be in Warcraft 3. Then Cataclysm happened and sterilized them. I want a Minotaur, not a fured Anduin wannabe with horns.

Their current leader is a much worse version of Anduin. Anything else would be an improvement.

The race hasn’t changed since vanilla, I should know, been playing one since then.

It can always get worse and Magatha leading the tauren would be, frankly, the death of what makes the race what it is.

I am going to be blunt here. This whole idea of “We should change x race to make them clones of whoever the dominant race of the faction is” is the very thing that has put me off playing Alliance. It’s already infected them with #humanpotential to the point that I am waiting for the void elves to suddenly become followers of the light somehow. So no ty, at least let the Horde have some dignity as Blizzard pummel it with the villain bat again.

They went separate ways after book ended. Vol’Jin no longer owe him anything, and Khort was meant to go away to settle himself. This guy was merely a tool to make “this story less Horde centric” because that was entire philosophy behind creathing this character.
So no I believe that whatever happened in MoP is a closed chapter and in the end Vol’Ji would pick his own faction over human pet.

being aggressive =/= being evil. Those are not connected(usually). “Death to the enemies of the Horde!” was yelled by every recruited Tauren warrior back in Warcraft 3.

Not once did I mention evil though I appreciate your honesty about Sylvanas and her followers. Considering the tauren are out there doing war, yes even Baine himself if you remember the Battle for Lordaeron as well as aiding the Zandalari, then what is the actual problem?

Baine didn’t show up once during the Raid. All he did prior to it, was sending the PC on a single mission at the shores/coast of Zuldazar. The rest was done by the zones NPCs you freshly been introduced to, or the crew of the Banshee’s Wail. Like, Rakera, Talanji, Nathanos and others.

I never had any problems with Sylvanas being evil and to mean stuff to the Alliance in her free time(pre warchief status).

A lot of people didn’t show up during the raid so does that mean they aren’t “aggressive enough” either?

They have the time of their lifes if the faction invasions are any indication. Even Nisha is already full of vengeance thirst currently, despite knowing the Alliance for 5 minutes.

And yet, yet, despite everything we are missing key figures that people swear by like Mr Theron AGAIN. So despite Baine supposedly just sending PCs off on missions (Even though he actually helped defend the Zandalari when the traitors made their move) he seemed to be more involved in the Horde war effort than the fairweather ghost himself.

Makes me wonder why there isn’t threads upon threads of that going on.

Lor’themar was in Lordaeron, did the heritage questline for the Sin’dorei and had his own deeper thoughts about Baine being arrested. And he had his moment back in 7.3.5 too with the Nightborne recruitment. So far he is doing fine.

Baine was in Lordaeron as well so big woop. Heritage questline? Well and good yet has that got anything to do with the Horde’s war efforts? No. 7.3.5 isn’t BFA so irrelevant, Baine had his moment with Highmountain recruitment as well.

So again, I ask, why is he getting a free pass when he is doing less than the leader of the race that is supposedly “not aggressive enough.” Should we somehow ressurect Kael’thas and give him another chance in his place?

I would elect Lor’themar as Lord Commander of all Sin’dorei forces and make Kael’thas king. Like this Lor’themar can get all the attention back Liadrin stole from him at each battlefront.

He isn’t getting a free pass. His excuse is just better as Baine’s since he is forced to prepare for a possile invasion against Silvermoon, tho forced to prepare a defense. Baine doesn’t have any of thise problems since the Night Elf threat was removed with maximum brutality.

Great gate is getting attacked according to command tables so no.

I don’t take this as canon, since we still have no explanation how the Alliance even managed to make landfall in the Barrens with Theramore being destroyed.

“I don’t like it so it isn’t canon” is never a good stance to take when trying to make your point. With what we are shown in game, which according to Blizzard is lore unless stated otherwise, the Alliance are making moves against Mulgore.

So no, afraid his excuse isn’t better even though you wish it was.

Uh. Alright.

Jaina. I don’t hate her, I even think on her own she’s a good character in general (terrible taste in men but let’s be fair, liking men is a terrible taste in itself.) But she’s also one of the symptoms of something I intensely dislike in WoW: “Humans are the centerpiece and representation of players, and therefor must be the best at everything no matter what.” (See also “Random human is chosen as Champion by a Wild God venerated by orcs, night elves and worgens”, “Teenager spend two days in the monastery of a recently discovered continent. Understand the teachings of that divinity better than monks born in this culture who have devoted their life to this”, “Random amnesic human is the Bestest of the Best Gladiators, because”, “Random human must teach basic strategy like ‘attacking in pincer’ to immortal soldiers specialized in guerilla warfare and hit and runs”, and for Jaina “Random human is the Bestest of the best mages, better even than immortals of diverses races who devoted millenias to this.”)
It’s a phenomenon that is used to make the players (humans behind the screen obviously) feel better, and heroic, etc. And it would works in a media where they are actually the viewpoint, mostly. In a MMO, where the players choose to play different races with their strenghs and weaknesses? Mostly, it break my suspension of credulity and annoy me.
So yeah. Sorry Jaina, I have nothing against you specifically, it’s just the context in which you happens.

Anduin. See reasons above. (Though I am Just and Fair. I would be content with only one disappearing, preferably Anduin.)

Sylvanas. Again, I don’t specifically want to kill Sylvanas, and it was a character I had liked a lot until WotLK, but given the current influence and context, I want her to Go. I Do Not Have Fun With The Horde Civil War.

I can’t think of a character I really really hate and would want to kill like that. There’s a bunch that annoys me (Saurfang, that one Alliance WQ giver in Zandalar because “Wow, rude!”, etc.) but… Oh yes, I know!
Mathew Shawn! I find him really really annoying. Also “We desactivated the traps”? B*tch where? Incompetent dingus.

Alleria I guess? I disliked her since WotLK but most of the time frankly, she just doesn’t register on my radar.
