I don’t know what your servers like but see if there’s a friendly smaller guild that would want to fill 15 or so spots to get some gear? You don’t need to ask your guild to support the TF grind they are getting fed up and I’m sure the smaller guilds would appreciate getting some gear that would otherwise get DE’d
I like how the OP is blatantly ignoring comments that explain the actual situation.
Well, you’ve just answered your own question. It’s a best in slot, so people want it. Atiesh won’t be any different.
Doesnt matter if you are able to do things without it, players want to have that weapon, cause its Legendary, AND the best weapon in the game for them. It’s a matter of prestige as much as it is about the power of the item.
I played private server, we cleared MC from first few weeks of it opened, to we had cleared naxx several times, we never saw a garr binding for our Guild master/Main tank. we still kept going to MC, because he deserved our help with getting that weapon, simply due to all the effort he put in to the guild, and on classic we finally got a TF for him, just a week or two before AQ opened.
The explosion on discord when we saw the binding was more legendary than the weapon itself, years of farming and we finally manage to reward our guild master for his effort.
Which comment did I ignore? I did confirm it is best tank weapon, it is best threat weapon, what else do you want me to comment on?
Every1 that tells you that it’s not required but makes things a lot easier. Also the ones telling you that Legendary Items are really REALLY wanted in general.
Sure it is not required, thats how guilds w/o TF clear content.
And just because it is not required, why still go for it? That time could be used for example farming gold or do alt run etc.
Ok, I do understand that speedrun/hardcore guild might go for it no matter what, increased threat is important for that, but why would casual/semi-hc go so obssessivly for it?
Still think it is about what other poster said, a prestige thingy. I dont mind prestige if someone is after it, but not over half guilds backs for a year.
If you dont need other gear from MC just do the 2 binding bosses. Wont take more than 30 minutes.
So why do you not disenchant every gear drop from now on, sense you already clear the raid.
If I remember correctly, tanks even used TF far out into TBC on level 70, might be the same case this time around, but who knows… People find new and different things about the game today in Classic, I guess they will do the same with TBC aswell.
Yes, people used TF even in Black Temple to tank Illidan, then Blizzard nerfed it because it was silly for it to be that good, to tank second to last raid tier in the next expansion. We are likely to get the nerfed version I think, but who truly knows? You sure ain’t getting any better tanking weapon before maybe Sun Eater in mechanar HC or more likely whatever best weapon is in t4 raids.
TF is overrated indeed. It’s just a big upgrade for the MT, and upgrades on the MT make raids a bit smoother.
You can do binding runs in 15-20 minutes, that’s a reasonable compromise. Or you can drop MC completely. It’s not going to do much harm gameplay-wise. But it may cause some drama with the GM being upset, quitting even? Now that could destroy the guild.
