You mean just like what most of the businesses keep on doing but under a new name? Well, I guess yeah, you are right.
After looking up BlueCheck to make sure itâs a good charity and being satisfied on that front, I now have a puppy. It has such lovely floppy ears, can recommend
Yeah, you mean the sold-then-rebranded assets left behind upon their exit? The detritus of international trade, one might say. Otherwise youâre going to share some citations rather than hot air.
I do believe Iâm about to adopt as well.
This charity event seems to have triggered some peopleâs PTSD after having been âwronged by blizzardâ for ruining their favourite game / the charity fiasco.
Reading youtube comments it also seems that Bobby lives rent free in a lot of ex-wow players minds haha
Bro take that negativity and take it to a Russian MMO, this is a western made MMORPG. Meaning that no one gives a f⌠if these pets are available in Russia to begin with
I think you should do it. Worst thing that can happen is Datsan here might get a little upset.
I was a bit cautious because of that, but after looking it up it does look like all proceeds simply go to humanitarian NGOâs that have been properly vetted by BlueCheck and the charity itself is non-profit.
Good if thatâs true.
You are not that smart, arenât you? I donât care about the pets, for me itâd be one of a handful of ways to support Ukraine without facing consequences.
imo the only one way to support Ukraine and not to face consiquences as a russian in russia is being not public about it, because your government will find ways to mess with you if theyâll need it
I donât agree actually⌠Iâm guessing quite a few Russians are unhappy with it all. I remember watching a documentary a few years back on the treatment of Russian protesters in prison, whether it were protests against the government or for lgbtq+ rights and such. It was shocking. I found it extremely upsetting.
I understand pretty much everyone in the west would love a revolution in Russia and Putin to just⌠go away, but the intimidation tactics there are real. And they threaten your family too. I can imagine for anyone not supporting this whole charade, standing on the barricades is still too dangerous. My guess is some Russians would love a chance at at least showing some rebellion, and support for Ukraine, even if itâs just through a lil pixel puppy.
Im half Russian, was living between Russia and Lithuania until moving to US
I know the mentality all too well im afraid and the current mood within Russia as well as Lithuania. Folks who have no actual links to Russia rarely have good take on overall Russian mentality towards this war.
Nice one!!!
tbh so true and baltic states are most based and know the most about it
Chinese and Russians must play in Asian realms. Why guys who dont speak english are in EU realms? Or make just a queue for russians and asians. 90% of Russia is in Asia.
Oh come now. There are German, Spanish, French, and Italian realms too and thereâs nothing wrong with any of it. The only one that bothered me is Aggra (Portuguese, officially) being merged with Frostmane (English, officially)
The only thing thatâs annoyed me about the Russian realms is when I had to learn Cyrillic to play RBGâs. Whole team learned it because people got confused about who was who whenever they brought like 3 druids or whatever. An addon eventually came along to solve this called Decyka.
Yeah that has been my own impression as well as a westerner, itâs such a different world view in a way from the little I do know. I have a Russian friend where I live, and she herself has said itâs not been easy navigating this with friends and family who still live in Russia. Some are scared, some support the war, some stay really quiet and do not wish to discuss it at all. Sheâs lost some of her loved ones to differences in opinion and viewpoint.
Thats the point⌠You cant communicate with russians in BGs and 90% is full of them in EU realms. Thats why russians have to be in their own queue and russian realm, IMO.
Guess we need separate realms for French and Spanish as well then, no? And for all the other guys out there who donât speak English?
Depressingly many genocide advocates that pop up in these threadsâŚ
I am also from Kharkov, although not Ukrainian, but I completely agree with your words.
Blizzard, games are meant to be an escape from the real world and its problems, and it might feel jarring or off-putting for a gaming company to suddenly start promoting political causes. Not everyone will agree with the stance that you are taking, and it can feel alienating for some people who donât share that viewpoint.
