Hey cheeks! I want to share my expirience with Time Rifts as for 07/13/23.
[11:11:06] Transfer Aborted: instance is full
I said myself ok, ill wait. Few minutes later ive entered after gazillions of attempts but boss/npc is dead already. Sadly but why this really bad designed event isnt tuned and live? By tuning i mean allow people to enter it? How should i complete weekly reputation quest wait for another hour and then again “Instance is full”. What?

Took me ages to enter too and when I did there was nothing much happening.
Event ended with no chance to complete quests coz it was so borked…

I have not experienced any problems with entering the rifts.
Lag, sure. But no other problems.
I actually think this is one of DF’s better and more fun events, honestly.

I also did 2 yesterday and no issues
Two out of three attempts, I got into the rift, stood around for a few seconds, then got ported out and couldn’t enter with “Transfer aborted: Instance Full”.
Thanks Blizz

I always find the complete difference in experience from player to player quite fascinating.
Just goes to show how many factors there are that lead to an individual’s experience in the game; and we experience it as ‘the truth’, while someone else can have a complete different version of ‘the truth’ because of their experience.
My experience: I did about 10 rifts yesterday. No issues at all (except for lag).
There are a lot of issues caused by the amount of people doing it at the same time. Last one I did yesterday had so much lag on the last boss it was horrible. I couldn’t do anything. And at the end got no loot even though I had the buff that guarantees loot.

only problem ive had is lag, but thats because its new and everyones doing it. give it a few more days and no one will be doing them so u can just do it without any problem
gotta say the performance of this game is abit shocking for 2023. i cant have more than 30 ppl on my screen and i suffer massive fps loss. only does it on wow
I have to say it was kinda funny when everybody went into the rift and got ported back to Soridormi…we all just kept going round and around until we got in!!LOL
Then it was just wandring around a couple of empty gunships til we all got bored!
I did get in and find a boss on my second time round though so hopefully it will work itself out.
The engine of this game was already ancient when this world was young.

It’s a good idea, but terribly implemented and unfinished. I doubt they barely tested it at all.

haven’t encountered any problems yet.
Nor any lag at all.
but still don’t understand why I’m doing that event hehe, because there is nothing worth anything from the rewards, but cant resist doing it
Bringing players together can be fun. The Shadowland Pre-patch in Icecrown were groups would gather waiting for the Rares to spawn would have some banter and use toys or show off their mounts and mogs.
We had some similar high-jinx with the Treasure Goblin.
But we’ve had too much of it in DF. Too many events that rely on a critical mass of players to complete. These rifts will be a nightmare for a few days. Then they’ll be fine for a few weeks when the excitement wears off. Then in a month or so they’ll be terrible again as nobody will be doing them (maybe on a saturday evening).
I’ll try one of these this afternoon as they’re new and the Aiding weekly wants me to. I hope it won’t be too bad.
What will these be like to solo next expac?
It seems very hit and miss, while I had no issues myself it does seem that others are having problems getting into the rifts and others are finding them too laggy.
same here …
like 50+ people couldnt join because instance full / not loading … and then when theyre inside… no more boss is there = no loot / no quest and -1 hr
also add another rift area that spawns every half hour … so we can swap between area’s or use your time better … 1x on full hours is very bad because it overlaps with stuff like feasts… and we only have a handful hours per day in this game. and its better when we acutally play more than 1 character… also compared to feast etc its not doable on multiple characters in 1 event.
- good thing… at least i had no laggs in p1 on rift event

i think its the same engine as in like BFA or before… remember nazjatar pvp lagg?
also: wow has FPS issues also for decades esp in raid or similar combat enviroments…
there so many options but it like a hit or a miss for the FPS. and not such things that other games had that i can turn down the effects from non group/ raid members or everything besides myself.
Same happened to me yesterday. I also couldnt leave a minigame 2 times. 3 out of 5 rifts were buggy, not that excited for rifts tbh
Def frustrating at the moment…also worrying that Im getting ‘instance full’ problems on a weekday afternoon!
This is the worst event I have seen in Dragonflight yet and we already had two of them.
The fact that there are so many players on one spot that the instance is full for the final portal to defeat the boss is ridiculous.
The outcome was that I got no loot at all because the game is not designed to have many players on one spot.
So I basically wasted my time in this lagfest.

Just happened to me too, did two of those rifts before with no problem so i wondered what that was about ^^’
certainly annoying when you try to get through this with a few alts but have to wait an additional hour because you weren’t quick enough to go to the portal, let’s see how long it takes before people just wait in the middle so they can instantly click it.
