well there is also players with such big egos
who love to insult the low damage of your alts who do heroic dungeons to gear up
and this makes the game unpleasant(in the odd dungeon you get two selfish guildies)
out of nowhere you get wipes on hc dungeon trash that are not hard at all
we could use the ignore option to work for dungeons so you never get grouped with jerks
i just wish blizzard would give them there own chat channel coz i get sooo peed off when i ask something in chat and no one replays coz a load of boost selling take it up
the proof is in the group finder tool, where they write their website address
the proof is in the discord servers and on the websites of the boost sellers, where the payment structures and pricing lists are identical except for the dollar sign or âgoldâ
the proof is also in the wow databaseâŠ
Blizzard could spend a little bit of petty cash from the office supplies fund, to buy a few boosts for a Character In Disguise GM, then just ban the ones doing the boosting.
They could also sue the websites for using Blizzardâs artwork as they all do.
There are many things Blizzard could do in order to cull the boosters, they are not doing it because of internal policies around who they can ban. Such policies as âif an account is only used for advertising in-game then it will be banned. However, if it is also played on by someone then it wonât be banned for advertising, even if it is advertising in channels which such advertising is supposedly not allowed, like the group finder tool.â
Yes I agree with this post, I went to LFG to find a heroic run and I found 3 groups and 23 WTS groups. Blizzard itâs time to add Boosting of all forms to the TOS, you have done it for multiboxing and now its time to do it for this aswell.
They cant do anything about it. You can set your own groups and partys how you feel like it. Like If there is 5man party and one or two are with zero gear and rest are geared to teeth its not against any rule someone just made own group. Its clear what is happening ofc they can just do it for instance being harder but most of times its boost. Is it paid well only they know could be guildies or friends too
So YOU donât have any proof, do I understand that correctly? How does the burden of proof work again, can you remind me?
Thereâs several boosting communities, still going quite strong, after years, which you are currently accusing of being part of RMT, including hundreds, if not thousand, of individual players, who are, according to you, all at the very least selling their own gold for real money, yet you have no proof other the fact that thereâs people advertising real money trading, which can be in no shape or form linked to the boosting communities, nor the individual players?
Thatâs pretty weak.
Anyway, since your issue is only with the people boosting for real money, clearly, why advocate for banning all of them?
And please donât say âbecause everybody who boosts for gold is also part of real money tradingâ because unless youâre severely delusional, thereâs no way you actually believe that.
Not sure how much banning 4 people is genuinely worth in the long run, tbh.
The artwork might work.
The internal policies I donât believe exist, and if they do, they should be shunned beyond belief. People advertising in the LFG tool are actively breaking ToS and besides that, are obnoxious to no end.
But I donât believe thereâs such a policy, I just believe that itâs simply that they donât care to put in any amount of work, because it would be work that theyâd have to put in.
I donât think thereâs some tinfoil hat stuff going on behind the scenes, why the LFG tool is still filled with advertisements, itâs simply that actively doing something against these advertisements would require work, which the current team isnât willing to put in.
But you may be right, who knows? All I know is the talk about the real money trading and every single booster being part of it is false and you (hopefully, because if you donât, sheesh thatâs gotta be rough buddy) know it too.
I donât get what youâre saying, sorry. Please elaborate?
just look at all these people running around with boosted gladiator mounts its disgusting. I genuinly feel sorry for those few that gets gladiator the legitimate way
First and foremost I think Blizzard should take out the ban hammer and go ham in the Group Finder. In needs to be cleaned up the other day I was doing my weekly Sire HC and when I opened it there was 47 Sire runs up, 44 was sell runs. And than after it they could go after the trade channel to clean that up.
Well do that Google search and yes you know its alive. Or dont do it and keep living in your bubble. No need get mad of it. In this im Happy to be wrong but im not and i know and quite many players know it. Or just login game open group finder and see yourself
No, this is what you are assuming. I didnât say all of them are selling their gold.
If you look further up in this topic, I pointed out that most of the people in these boosting communities will swear to the grave that the communities only boost for a price of gold. But obviously, they are all going to say that.
Just look at the pricing options they have, and the pricing options that are shown on the websites which boost for a price of dollars. They are identical. If that isnât evidence enough for you that these boosting communities are either directly set up by the third party companies &/or blatantly used by the third party companies, then some might assume that you are a part of the problem too, and jumping to defend your own pile of scammed gold.
Hey, all of the murderers on death-row say they are innocent, and that any evidence against them is false too.
It is clear and obvious that there is a deep seeded connection between the so called âboosting communitiesâ and the third party companies which farm this game for money.
Open your eyes, do a bit of google searching, or open the group finder tool and visit one of the many websites which you will find advertised there. Visit the community discord servers yourself. You will see the evidence.
Anyone, and I mean, literally anyone could buy a domain name, rent a bit of web space and use the tools provided by their web host to make a basic website, add a few PayPal payment buttons and start selling boosts for cash, then simply pay people from the âboosting communityâ discord servers with gold to boost the person who paid with cash. At the start of a new WoW season, they would more than double their money from doing this, even if they bought WoW tokens to pay the boosters with.
I boost since 2 years. Did 500+ M+ boosts this season alone.
Boosting for gold is totally ok and Blizz will never get rid of it because it generates them money too since people buy tokens to get gold to buy boosts.
The only people that I ever see complaining about boosting existing are:
a) People that struggle to clear +15 so they cope by blaming it on boosters. The line of thought is like this: âYea I canât time this +15 because I play with these bads that were boosted, if boosting didnât exist I could surely time +15â.
b) People that secretly envy others for making money from boosting while they cannot boost themselves to make money, but donât say this when talking against boosters, instead they just bring another argument to avoid people discovering their envy. Arguments like: âUhhh⊠boosters spam the trade chat so much itâs so annoying I canât sell anythingâŠâ when literally you have AH to buy/sell things and LFG for any type of group, so trade chatâs function is entirely useless.
There has always been an envy aspect with it, and I find that pays a large part of the dislike of what is often a player driven demand, often backed by the own player driven economy.
The basic principles that found our world is principle of supply and demand, and charging for said service.
