Timers shouldn't be this harsh

if your opinion on something changes based on the messenger i don’t care about what you have to say.

It’s emotional rather than logical.

The reason why i talk like this, is frankly because i don;t have the patience to argue with people on their stupid af points.

Lol, what a mentality u have, I think its likely you dont know what ur talking about, if ur only justification u can think of is “Oh well everyone else gotta be wrong”

Lol, i know exactly what im talking about. u have ur opinon, i disagree with it, the fact ur honestly going to try proclaim a majority is laughable. the same 10 people who cant handle less then the 100% Success rate isnt enough to proclaim that.

Wha? u fail a boss in a dung u aint getting any loot until u kill that boss and complete said dung lol

Failing a M+ Key is Untiming it, failing a raid boss is wiping.

M+s Fail mechanic has never been litterally not passing the boss, if even the aid of being able to BL Every single pack of mobs hasnt, then ur just out of ur depth in terms of + ur doing.

failing a m+ is either not timing or not completing it, latter being the highest probability.

It is lol, most groups break due to failing bosses

You are not completing it up to the standards that he deems proper.

Just like when people kill the boss with like 1 person remaining, clearly you didn’t “time” that raid boss.

This is why i don’t even bother with those people anymore, they are just full of s, and don’t know wtf they are talking about.

No the reason you talk like this is because you’re a product of internet anonymity and you rather than think logically about anyone else’s viewpoint you just dismiss them knowing that any repercussions you face “are definitely not my fault”. Spoilt and childish, that’s how it comes across

Raids also dont benefit being able to spam BL to try and Push u over the ledge for said completion.

No u just talk alot of rubbish and get mad when called out.

M+ is handed FAR lighter punishments in terms of failure comparitively to raiding, and trying to reduce that further is Simply Creating a Pure through and through winner.

Your feedback has been heard and taken into consideration.

Do you wanna say anything else? What other pearls of wisdom do you have?

By the way cliero, what you said is objectively false, how does raiding have bigger punishments compared to m+? Insane take, if you fail the boss you just do it again and again, at the same difficulty, if you fail the key it gets reduced until you finish it in time, in what universe is the punishment for m+ LIGHTER than raiding?

You don’t know wtf you are talking about, you’re just here to “win the argument” Because i hurt your fefees with my bad words. Even if said argument literally makes no sense.

Thing is without those tirades and rudeness I think for the most part you put across a solid case. But you won’t win anyone over with such churlish antics

As i said before, if your judgement on something changes based on the messenger, i frankly don’t care what you have to say.

I already explained why i talk like this, and i have no patience for people who don’t think.

I am not here to make friends, i am here to provide freedback, and tell people how stupid their points are and how they don’t know wtf they are talking about when i see fit.

So far, no good point has ever been raised for the continuation of the deplete mechanic.

They are always either completely subjective, or poorly thought out, usually a mix of both.

its the lack of foresight which drives the inability to win over others.

If u delete Depleting keys, it means Keys will only ever move forward, which generates a slow product towards new players / alts having no access to low keys.

to stack, if u make M+ Any easier to get urself carried through raidings going to die out completely.

I’m not saying I agree I am saying I think it’s a valid discussion to have. Personally unless we moved m+ to a full elo system like chess or csgo for example where you rank goes up and down based on performance and you’re automatically matched into the relevant key level to match that (just saying this out loud I don’t want this) depletes should and must exist.

We all get keys depleted because of others, most of us have played a role in key depleted as well (though very few egos would admit it) it’s the game, I think it’s fine and doesn’t need changing tbh

Well yes changing the punishment for failing keys can be a discussion, however removing depletion entirely only reverses the situation as a leader would gain larger benefit leaving keys himself til a group times said key.

I mean the only time depletion becomes a grey area is in terms of leavers, due to its too easy for a other person to disrupt the key.

idk to me that IS the appeal, since for the past 15 years if I did just want to sit and slam my head against a wall for 3 hours I would go into a raid, but M+ lets me just pick a time to set aside 30 minutes and play a challenging key with a good pace. it’s a nice change of pace from raiding.

Torghast model is a very good idea.

We shouldn’t need a key to do M+, which only limit’s players’ choice and freedom.

Top notch thread.

One person forcing his opinion down other peoples throats and telling everyone else to gtfo if they disagree.

Depletion mechanic is needed. Otherwise keys would only inflate and you’d be left with people banging their heads against a key until it was eventually timed when all the stars align (they get the carry they were after).

The “problem” is people see depletion as “punishment” rather than the game simply telling you that you should try at a level more appropriate for you.

Another factor is that you don’t get the thrill of success if you’ve never tasted failure. It’s ok not to win all the time, it kinda cheapens it if you do.

Without depletion mechanic, you will have the same ressult as with the NW bug (it didnt deplete) - you did that key, over and over, reseting, going over and over… it was aweful, till the point you got everyone to perfect the key and it was completed in time. Failed timer? Reset and go again. Pack didn’t go as planned? Reset go again.

It was perhaps the most soulkilling thing I experienced in M+.

With no failure state, there is only pushing upwards in more and more degenerate ways. It becomes a chore and a grind without equal. You might disagree - but, think to yourself. After you done the same mob pull 20 times in a row - will you not start to detest it? I for sure do.

A m+ run is far too long to compare to reseting a boss fight. So forcing people into a reset-dung loop - will just be as fun as if Sylvanas had a 40min p1 and p2, it was only 10… Yeah, not fun.

The timers are not harsh. 40 min, 36 min, 33 min, are really long times for dungeons. You guys need more mass pulls I think.

I mean it is a punishment, not that bad of one tbh but still a punishment.

Nah, what it does is tells u to be more decisive with ur choices in teammates for pugs and hope they don’t have low IQ or bad temper. I believe it’d be better if the game punished everyone equally for a bad run instead of just the keymaster
