Timewalking too easy?

Ive done some tw dungeon with my 65 priest and im finding lately that is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too simple. ok we are at the end of the expansion but facerolling any boss isnt exactly my idea of fun.
In fact is ok to level chars and do the weekly… but is too much imho.

And not to mention the levelling ones i did in TBC: with a group in mechanar pulled kiting the 1st 3 (three) boss. And with just a death (mine ofc) we defeat’em.

Not only do ppl skip bosses (even though it will take 20 secs to defeat it) it’s mostly a walk-through, so if you don’t have class that can do immediate damage and has to cast it feels aggravating. It’s fun to some degree with melee’s that can keep moving and doing damage but still feels empty and soulless. I’m surprised that they even have this feature at all at this point.

It’s casual content, what do you expect?

If you want more difficult content, go do higher 20+ keys.

yeah true! after wise mari i didnt know it was possible to skip the 2nd boss… And as priest i use the futile aoe (dont recall the name. it heals and damage but in light mode) while tryin to reach the tank. Having done these dungeon 100000000000000 times i dont care about that. But i can imagine newcomers or ppl who likes to run at their pace could be disappointed.

No. I avoid M like disease. But there is a difference between futile and difficult. And i dont speak about challenge… im speaking about tankin three bosses at once: between 1 and 10 there are 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

And there’s still groups who find it difficult to even do more than 200 DPS in MoP dungeons.

You can queue these dungeons at lower levels, so new players experiencing these old dungeons, not knowing where they are going or that think they’ll get to enjoy their class will be outpaced by the grp sprinting through the dungeon and if they blink they might not even be able to find out what turn the group took, especially when dungeons use portals and have a maze of paths to go through.

It’s just lazy and boring content for Blizzard, they can and should do better.

I mostly do PvP, PvE content to me is just boring overall, with deadly boss mods and don’t stand here or there mechanics, but still, when I do the weekly for time-walking it’s terribly boring.

I’m pretty happy with TW being easy.

We have Mythic+ for a more challenging time, and TW is a fun way to experience some older content and also get some reasonable rewards whilst levelling alts.

Timewalking is not true competitive end-game content, it’s simple by design. It’s intended for having a good time, fun and relaxation  and of course, to bring back some old memories from past expansions

Just enjoy the journey and don’t overthink it

Damage overtune go brrrrrrrrrr

But yeah, been that for a good while now. TW is totally not a challenging content, to say the least, be it dungeons or TW raid. To add, currently it feels like it’s designed to be alt leveling/gearing feature and good training ground for people learning their specs/roles (I learned to both heal and tank in TW at first and honestly it felt great), so this kind of content shouldn’t be hard anyway.

I like it that way. For other cases we have Mythic+ rotations where some of the dungeons are present. I wish TW raids could have some difficulty modes for those that want them to be challenging tho.

yes… i just grieve at seein the sha of doubt die so fast…

Mobs and bosses in normal dungeons in Retail WoW are way, way too easy. Being able to pull all trash mobs to the boss and killing everything in 5 seconds is stupid. Newbies don’t have a chance lean how to play because stuff dies so fast.

Healers don’t need to heal, tanks don’t need to use defensives, DPS don’t need to interrupt/CC. Back in earlier expansions, normal dungeons felt much better.

We’re at the end of the expansion and power levels are much higher, so normal dungeons are too trivial, even for “normal” difficulty.

New players are now expected to learn in the follower dungeons, which is something, I guess…

But i was playin as 65 level undergeared… and my spells obliterated anything.
I have to say you are right: follower dungeons are there to learn, and is good… but even i understand that, back in the past was more fun…

wanna laugh? isnt tw related but made me chuckle. yesterday i dispelled a disease to another char in Brackenhide and the guy thanked me cuz it was the 1st time someone dispelled somethin. I guess ppl in low level dungeon now arent aware of the dispelling powers (and cc ones). me included ofc.

I prefer it being that way than how it was a few years ago where Pit of Saron was barely doable and the last boss would global the tank

It’s such a chore to run these for the chest, might as well clear them easily

I don’t see the issue. Fun is subjective after all. Also, great for Alt Leveling.

We have default/heroic/mythic+ dungeons for varying difficulty.

It’s a 1 week event. If it would be hard, people would complain. Especially with the current gear scaling inconsistencies between levels.

timewalking dungeons are levelling -.- pandaria is one that scales well. tbc is overscaled. same as wotlk. one shot mechanics in leveling dungeons are 2005

The problem is that timewalking dungeons have to be doable for a really wide spectrum of players, from levelling characters in greens and blues from a few levels ago, scaling is pretty inexact at the best of times, and then in come level capped players in a year’s worth of gear upgrades, of course you’re facerolling them.

I do agree that fights could do with lasting a tad longer, two of my alts are hard-casting classes, they mostly run after the group, i haven’t gotten into trouble due to doing low DPS, but it still feels a bit bad, but how do you balance this concern with broad accessibility?

Well, casuals aren’t necessarily bad players. I’d say the problem is that people had 0 patience for newbies so feedback was given and the content was trivialised. :dracthyr_shrug:

Just wish that in the process of it all they didn’t make things so easy and quick that if you aren’t a class with instant casts and no long rotation build-up the dungeons are just not fun whatsoever.

Also people talking about gear and end of expansion: Timewalking scales you down and does NOT care about your actual power level.

Yeah casuals are imaginary group of people that used as example of hypothetical victim to force narrative of necessity to change something

I just join a TW dungeon and just fall asleep and press 2 keys and then it’s over. Of course they’re super easy.

The majority of MMO players now want instant gratification and any sign of anything being too difficult they cry for nerfs or want all the higher level gear that someone else has without the effort :stuck_out_tongue:
