i would say disable all your addons for fast log in.
if you click enter and no message yet just wait to log do not disconnect.
if you log in go grind instead of questing.
that’s all I got.
If you are able to tag a mob, then sure, go grind 
I dont really have any tips to give, I’ll play how im able to lol…
It’s always a mess at launch, and knowing Blizzard its good if we’re be able to play tonight at all lol
Nothing to grind, people tag mobs as soon they spawn.
Minor lags for everyone.
Best tip, play with a group from 1-5 and leave this zone asap.
Skip collection quests such as darnassus mushrooms or durotar cactus.
Otherwise come back between 1-2 at night, it will be much more relaxing.
2019 I remember got into game than disconnect and had to wait 5 hour queue
I merely plan to try and make my character and then actually play the game tomorrow morning.
This…ish… I am away the weekend (pre-booked) so will create toon tonight and then not play till Monday. Starting areas will be quieter then 
Atleast park the character into a Inn to get some rested exp 
That is an excellent suggestion, though I fear the run from Aldrassil to Dolanaar is a bit more dangerous at level 1 than say, Northshire to Goldshire? 
Run to Dolanaar inn is totally without danger. It’s only if you’d go on to Darnassus that you’ll meet one or two “panthers”. but probably not on launch night. Just don’t fall off the tree

Best tip here: If youre going for PVE server, do your character on HC realm and play until you die, then freetransfer to PVE. No queues. Just make sure you wont die until couple days from start.
That is an interesting idea but what makes you think that hardcore won’t be full too?
what makes u think pve servers are going to be full? 
I’d be more than happy if they aren’t.
If they arent, then its unnecessary to do char on HC, but if youre looking at 3000+ queue, there is an option now.
Create a characters ,park them and wait week or so for hype to wears off and then start leveling without stress…
FOMO causes more stress
get to 5 first; then go fish for a week
Just sleep over the launch/disconnect/queue hours and start early morning
I would say dont bother until tomorrow afternoon. The wait will be less then.
