Tired of disenchanting purple items and receiving blue shards, is it intentional that ppl buy gold (tokens respectively) to afford enchants and mats for them?
Euhm this is not right tbh, never had that before
yep
it happens quite often
even though i have the disenchant tree capped with points
it even happens with Raid gear that have no blue version of them
Itemlvl is what matters not color of your gear outline.
382 - 389 ilvl and blue shards on all of them last few weeks, I have disenchanted so many items above lvl 380 and I had only 1 resonant crystal so how about that? My gear is above lvl 390 so i do disenchant every drop under the 390 ilvl
Yeah I’ve noticed this aswell, tons of blue shards barely any dust as you get very little from a disenchant even when specced into getting better results from disnechating and very few purple shards from DE’n purple items.
I’ve given up levelling enchanter any further and resorted to selling my materials, I make more that way.
Your enchanting specialization, Insight of the Blue path increases your chance to get Resonant Crystals. As far as I can make out its more of a drop chance. Higher ilvl is higher chance but not 100%. Weapons seem to have higher % but dont nail me on it. Just something my guildies experience
This system gives an opportunity for rigging the game, as if u buy tokens to sell them, and be able to pay more gold for recipes or mats you have a bigger chance to win the game as you can craft better items and receive better rewards, so there’s that. Makes me think that’s the original idea behind this bs system.
The old system wasnt really used. I choose alchi the last addons just for flask timer. But since DF the second I log in, the trade channel is full of artisans that sell their goods. Initially I did only raids and ksm in past addons, but now I am actively doing my profession (inscription) and having huge fun with it. I am delighted everytime I get skill points for it, and cant wait for every new reset to get more. Sorry if that is not your experience, but I take the new system all over the dead old boring system
I don’t like broken systems, that give opportunities for rigging the entire game, this is made to generate profit in real money not for you to have fun, and that’s what drives me mad.
But I am having fun… and no real money involved. I make staffs, get money, spend them on artisans things that i cant craft and make myself stronger. Just yesterday I spent 25k for an enchantment on my weapon after getting 30k for a T5 418 staff. Dont know where the problem is
So far I spent more than 300k and I’m not able to make gold out of it as the mats are too expensive and I can’t have them myself because they just don’t come out of the profession I spent more than the average player on.
Dont really have an enchanter (only a twink and just leveling) but on my inscription I started to max the runemastery tree and after that went into tools and weapons. I looked every possible recipe drop and went hunting for it (being it AH, world drop or reputation locked). I did every possible knowledge related activity and used contract for artisans to get them fast. They have like 30+ knowledge per profession. Then I digged the whole island up + m+ and raid netting me 6 dragon eggs… which I take but it was not much.
Made sure to craft every first craft item. Started selling my good.
So I think I used good 400-500k and 80% of my gaming time on profession.
Which I find good. Now if you dont want to raid or m+ you can find purpose in the profession but you need to sink alot of time and planing in it… like every raider and runner needs for their activity. Its not a side dish anymore, but a main dish. If you dont sink the majority of your time and planing on it you wont get the same result as someone who did
its the same with disenchanting blue items and only getting 2 dust 50% of the time. Its one of the reasons i decided not to bother with crafting proffesions like enchanting
Dont you pair enchanting normaly with a crafting profession. My dk has smithing and enchanting. Every green I do gets dissed. Then spamming keys or digging holes or finding treasure / loot is being dissed. Like I said its really time costly and equally to set with m+ score persue
yep you do, ussually something like tailoring. But you cant turn much off a profit anymore from crafting 1000’s of things and then disenchanting them. You just dont get enough shards from blue items anymore this expansion. And seeing how you need to craft lots of things just to level up your proffesion i’d rather not make too much of a loss.
So that’s why weapon enchs still cost a fortune? I figured the prices would drop as raiding begins, and then this… why not make it simple, and have people disench any DF purples into those crystals as in SL or before?
They are rare anyways as is, most of them fetch a happy user
Couldnt you use ressourcefulness and a tech tree to get more mats from diss to make some win? I did that with ink. Alot of multi + ressourcefulness. Sold them all in ah for 200k. Of course multi will do nothing for you (except tailoring) but ressourcefulness in tailoring and enchantment should help
Just a few posts above you said you don’t have an enchanting profession, sounds like a true Blizzard bot!
You mean this? Yeah its not a fully blown enchanter like my main inscription… because its a twink and main profession eats alot of time. Dont see the contradiction
