Titanforge removed! replaced with .. chek the video

Actually found it a helpful video so flagged for usefulness as I now know that I won’t be going back to retail until 9.0 at least.

Anyway, the point of this thread is that it’s bad, this system is bad, whether it’s better or worse it’s up to debate, i personally think it’s worse because at least titanforge didn’t have drawbacks.

RNG replaced with double RNG, as far as I see.

No, I’m actually pretty nice.

Your explanation is wrong.

How did Preach phrase it?

To the uneducated wow player this might seem like a good idea

Enough said. :blue_heart:

you mean quadruple rng -_-

1)roll level of coruption
2)roll level of bonus
3)roll type of bonus
4)roll wf/socket.

generates an idiot grin and clown face - thats how this little DK feels like now.

I am not a person, who doomsays much. No, I do not always think new change is bad. But I truly just cannot get excited over this. And then Blizzard writes in the blue post how they change the system because they want us to feel excited over new gear we get. RNG has never been very exciting and I am not very hyped over 8.3. Maybe its due to lack of coffee, so I go make a new cappuccino and try to be less negative.

And to people who can’t read, short version of what i said is this: being better than super garbage doesn’t mean being a good idea. It means just being garbage.

It’s not better though…

so did my subscription

No they didn’t. They explained it right, you just lack the comprehension abilities to understand it. But not surprising at all since you have Preach as your information source (LOL)…

And quoting Preach for “uneducated wow player” is just laughable… There has never been more uneducated streamer/youtuber as Preach. Maybe HeelvsBabyface… yeah he is definitely the winner in this category but Preach is definitely 2nd.

Technically a multi-staged RNG (can be 3-staged for a 445 base item but can be 6-staged for a 430 base item) with a 4-staged RNG.

If we take a base 430 item for comparison:

  1. old WF/TF system - 5 different stages of bonus ilvl rolls (5 rolls for +5 ilvls) and 1 stage for a socket roll;
  2. new Corruption system - corrupted roll, specific bonus roll, bonus/corruption level roll, socket roll;

I personally think this new system is NOT a solution because it’s still heavy layered RNG-upon-RNG BS and they players have no control over the upgrading. On the other hand though at least it solves the issues of trivial content having the chance of providing better loot than the hardest content and setting a limit of how many “upgraded” items you can use. All in all I think gearing will be slightly better in general, the gear progression paths will exist again and ilvl will mean something at last.

The entire assessment is factually incorrect. Anyone who thinks that the “best” gear is now going to come from the most difficult content is, frankly, a moron and has no idea what they’re talking about. You seem to be included in this category. Well done.

Your entire reply is laughable. I actually watched the video AFTER stating my opinion the first time and I agree with his assessment.

Says the one with 0 self opinion and having their entire thought process based on a streamer/youtuber LOL…

Where your “best” gear comes depends entirely on your stats value. If the raid doesn’t offer an item for a certain slot with your 2 best stats with the correct ratio but a certain dungeon does, then the BIS for that slot will most likely come from M+. But this has nothing to do with Corruption. A Mythic raid corrupted item with your best stats will ALWAYS be better than a corrupted item with the same stats distribution and corruption bonus from ANY lower difficulty. Not including trinkets of course.

It’s this kind of two dimensional thinking that makes people look like fools. You clearly don’t understand the implications of this system or how it is going to affect gearing.

And your kind of 0 dimensional, 0 argumentation, 0 factual response makes you look soooo much smarter… We all understand the implications, but the implications of Titanforging are far worse.

No, it is quite clear that you don’t understand. Do some homework before you start spewing out “facts”.

There will be streamers for and against I would imagine.

Yes, whatever. I wasn’t using him to bolster my argument. I was just quoting one line which I thought was fitting considering the utter nonsense some people are using as a defense of this system.
