I’m not disagreeing with the point he’s making. I’m not looking forward to this system at all.
It’s like Blizz completely ignored the reasons that people dislike TF and came up with a completely different RNG system instead, thinking people would like RNG in a different format.
Oh, yes, absolutely and it’s extremely frustrating. I don’t care about TF either way. I think I have 1 piece of TF gear and it’s from a +9 in the first weak of S3, so not exactly trivial content. This system is infinitely worse in my opinion.
Dismissing an opinion by a content creator just because he is a content creator doesn’t make you special or smart.
In short, both to you and to the fellow blood elf mage, here it is:
How it will be: A normal Nyalotha corrupted piece that has the best corruption bonus for you, will be better than a mythic Nyalotha piece that is baseline.
How it is right now: A normal TEP piece that titanforged high enough and/or has a socket, will be better than a mythic TEP piece that is baseline.
Now add to that a corruption cap where lower item level gear would potentially allow you to stack more bonuses without capping on corruption.
Imagine a fire mage’s burst with 4 X% critical strike damage increase as opposed to losing 2% of mastery from running Heroic or even Normal gear in those slots with BiS bonuses.
Yes they confirmed as much. Ion said something along the lines of without TF casual players run out of things to do and gear to obtain after five weeks (presumably into each patch), it also meant helping a friend through lower content would possibly give a reward to higher players.
